Home N Go I bought the Pet Gear Home N Go Pet Pen for Galen ![]() for when I go to my mom's house. When I popped it up it looked a little smaller then I thought. My sister is getting married the middle of march and I was wondering if I can put him in it or will he need a bigger area to be in when I am at the wedding. |
That's cute! We have a playpen...as in, a kid's playpen... ha ha. Is that really low to the ground? It looks like it is and I like that... How long will he be in it? |
It is really low to the ground. A few hours. I was not sure if anyone else used this. |
My mom's little Dexter had knee surgery and they had a function to go to that was 3 hours and he was perfectly fine. They also had him in a playpen though and he could not jump out of it because of his knee. |
I really wish I could take him to the wedding lol. But it is at a restaurant. If it was at a catering hall I would put him in the bridal suite |
Looks big enough for a couple hours, I think he'll like it:) |
Ok thanks. I wasn't sure. I don't want to leave him lol |
I wish you could just lock him in the bathroom or in a room. The home and go is small and you want to be sure his water won't tip over. Now are you staying in a hotel? Wherever, you must be sure he is safe. I have read of two Yorkies that have gotten out of hotel rooms and ran away. Your dog is so precious. Even locking him in the car someone can break in and steal him. Just be very careful. If I had him I would get a house sitter or take him to a friend's home to watch him carefully. So much can happen to little dogs. I will pray for a safe decision for such a precious baby! |
No I am staying at moms house. The bathroom is 1/2 carpeted. The kitchen is way to big for him. I do not trust anyone with him. lol. |
It's cute. Blazer would jump out of that in a heartbeat, though, so if I kennel him it has to have a roof. LOL! |
I have been debating about getting something like this. We also have a carrier that will also serve as a safe place and we will be taking up the rug in the den, closing off the pocket doors and putting up a barrier between the den and kitchen. I really like the idea of having a type of play pen up that Sophie can go in if I have to make a run upstairs or to the garage or something like that. I'm really glad you posted this thread as it helps me out also! Thanks again! |

![]() This is for home. I was hoping not to have to pack it up and take it with me. But I might just do it anyway. |
I love the look of it. My only concern is he may try to chew his way out of it. I had a nylon pen and I had one of mine chew thru it. That's why I bought the xpen. All though my Lexi soon learned how to climb that. So had to modify. My pups are only locked up now and then not much at all as dh is home all the time . Getting close to the date your little one is coming home. Looking forward to all the pictures and new adventures you will have. |
Not sure about the height, but Bailey would hop over that like Superman in a single bound. |
This is what I use for home and travel.... That poor thing has been to Fl, Tenn, NC, SC, GA, TX, Bahamas and Purto Rico lol The 24"x36" size Precision Pet Eight Panel Wire Pens - Foldable Dog Pens and Dog Exercise Pen from petco.com Somehow Stella has already learned how to climb the 36"s so now we are stuck looking for option 2 lol |
