I also use a kid's playpen for Mocha. Actually, his breeder included a playpen when I got him. He is used to sleeping in it at night and when I am away. He feels very safe in it. I never used one designed for the dog so can't tell you if this one is good. However, if it is similar in size with a kid's playpen, should be good.

This is what I have for Chloe I got it off of Ebay. I even have it set up in my living room for her because when we have people over I know she is safe and not under foot....it folds up easy, has a zip around cover(I don't have it on in the picture because she's not a jumper yet", two doors and the bottom is water proof.She is really safe in it and travels wells.

They one you have is square ? This one isn't. I think I should have gotten the bigger one.

Rectangle. It's a standards baby size you can buy from any baby store (Baby R Us, Walmart, Target etc.) it's big enough.

Ok, not to add any anxiety to your confusion (if I may call it that), I just purchased a puppy play pen (soft sides in pink) on eBay for $36.86 with free shipping. I looked at what everyone was showing and I really appreciate that people took the time to do that, but I decided on this one because of it's portability and usefulness both inside and out. I was looking at some that didn't have a floor and knew we would definitely have to take up the carpet if we got one like that but I also looked at the ones where the floor was easily cleanable and removable for outside use. It won't get hear till the middle of next week but I think we can keep her off the carpet till then and the furniture is protected as well. Good luck in whatever decision you make. I'm sure you'll make the best one for your situation. Are we excited yet?? LOL

My DH is wondering when the spending will stop? LOL That's a good question!

Chloe is 20 weeks and she doesn't even try to get out of her playpen but she has been in and out of this sense we brought her home.....When we go out thats where she stays because she hated her metal crate as a matter of fact I put the metal away and use only this play pen for her...When I'm home she is can go where ever she wants as long as I can see her ...... but when we have company or when I can't watch her in the pen she goes...it's safer for the both of us.......I'm not sure how old your pup is....but which ever enclosed area you pick to use you might want to start putting him in it now maybe an half hour or so each day by himself so that he can get use to it. Good Luck I'm sure you will find the right one for what you need.

Will your pup be in it for several hours?? Is it 24 X 24? The one I purchased has mesh windows/doors but it's 48 X 24.
