Roxie "looking for a middle name" Girl. :D She loves Ahi but Ahi is still unsure.lol She is very playful and hyper. Ahi is extremely mellow. She was born on May 29, 2011. So she is Ahis little big sister. Ahi was born on May 11, 2011. Roxie was supposed to get shipped off with her human mother but at the last moment she changed her mind. A little sad but happy we now have her in our family. I wanted to change her name but my girls love it so it seems it will stay. Can a pup ever get tired of playing fetch? lol

Aw, Roxie is adorable. So glad you got her. I imagine you will be in for quite a ride as her breed is very determined and so smart and loving, passionate about everything. Congratulations on your new baby!!! She has a wonderful face and reminds me so much of my sister's beloved and still-missed Silky.

Yeeaaaa so happy to hear she is with her family now... Because if her mom was willing to just walk away I know she is better off with you!!!! Love love love the picture of all 4 of your girls everybody looks sooo happy!!!

When you get a chance, can you post her weight and height? I would love to get a better feel for her size. I think my sister's Mindy was only 7 lbs. but you got the impression she was 15 lbs. or more from her strength and presence. She had such power in her legs, she could jump up on almost anything. Acted like a big dog in so many ways.

So happy for you all :). My daughter has a silky and he is precious. Petey is hyper also and quite the escape artist so beware lol. Congratulations.

I had a Chow Chow named Roxie but her middle name was Mole Murderer sooo don't think that would work haha

Congratulations on your new baby (not so baby) girl! I love the picture of the fur girls with your skin girls - they look so happy! I love her name, Roxie. I like Jo for her middle name, Roxie Jo. :D

ahhhhh congratulations, she is so cute, pics can be deceiving but she looks small for a silky. I love Roxie Hart and like another poster said it has a nice meaning to it.

To answer your question some dogs will never get tired of fetch even after hours. Lola is excited even for me to throw it two feet while I am in the bathroom, you are lucky you have kids, LOL that's what they are for

Ok I will post it tonight. I want to say she is about 7lbs. too and YES I get the impression that is is 15lbs. lol Very rambunctious! I think she would do wonderfully at agility training. She just jumped and cleared my kids gate. lol

My kids love that she acts like a "real" dog. Cause Ahi sure acts like she is human.

I am seeing that Roxie is so much of what you just described. And it seems there are so many possibilities in training her. My girls want to build her a little agility training course in our backyard. :D

Please keep the suggestions coming! I will list all the name you guys suggest and when my girls get home from school they will pick. I will post the choice later today. :D So far we got Roxie...Hart and Jo. and yes I think Mole Murderer wouldn't work...besides we don't have moles in Hawaii. hehe :D :p

My girls love the 2 dog thing...cause now they don't have to fight over Ahi. :) As for Ahi...I think it will take her a little while because she doesn't realize that she is a dog. Roxie will try to initiate play but Ahi looks at her like what the heck are you trying to do? lol She will tag her like she is it and Ahi will just roll over and submit. She will also drop toys in front of her to play and Ahi just walks away.LOL Ahi was actually on my lap and Roxie ran up to me to give me a toy to throw...Ahi growled at her a little. lol But only did it that once.

How about:

Roxie Kali
Roxie Calida

Kali = Energetic - spelling from African origin or Kalli = Energy (and Black Goddess) - spelling from Hindi origin

Calida = derived from the Spanish for hot

I'd pronounce "Kali" like "Kah-LEE" with emplasis on the "lee" and "Calida" with emphasis on the "li (Kah-LEE-da)" part as well.

Hmm I might have to come visit you just to umm verify in person there are actually no moles in Hawaii :p
