You know the feeling...
 
when you FINALLY find THE ONE Yorkie you have been waiting 3 years for. Ok, well maybe not many people waited 3 years, but I did :). I spent years researching different dogs and decided that a Yorkie was the perfect fit. Then I spent years researching and reading up on dogs and that's where I found this wonderful site 'YorkieTalk.com' and was over-loaded with cute pictures, scenarios, and other events. This site is like striking a gold mine.

I have been in this place of wanting a Yorkie so bad, but it wasn't the right time. I was overloaded with work and school and wanted to spend as much time as possible with my little furbaby. More recently I just lost my job and although it's kind of sad, everything happens for a reason.

I'm am taking this time as the last break I will have in a long time, that is not related to sickness or injury and where I don't have a house, kids or a spouse to worry about. The perfect time to welcome a furbaby into my life... finally, but not just any furbaby. MY furbaby, the one I have been waiting for, that is perfect in every way, and could not have come at a better time in my life :).

You know we don't pick them, they totally pick us! lol Yes, I have picked one and he is the cutest thing ever (I know we all say that)! As soon as I saw him, I was like this is the one. I have looked at A LOT of Yorkies over the years from this breeder.

I can't wait to show you all pictures! I am so excited (I think I said that) ha!
If I wasn't addicted before, oh boy will I be in the months ahead. This will be when my questions aren't based on hypothetical, it is!

I bet! I have to take a flight to go get him :) That alone is some ride. I figured I'd do the traveling instead of having the breeder do it. I could use a mini trip and flight experience anyway. I plan on traveling quite a bit with this little guy. he is ranging to be between 4.5-5 pounds. I am hoping he is not too little. I saw a 10 pound Yorkie this morning and he seemed to be about 4-5 pounds visually, but the owner said 10. I was like wow! 10 pounds is still quite small, mine will be half of half of that. Hahahahahahaha

I'm on such a high. I don't know what to do with myself. I'm going to the gym. :rolleyes:

Wow. That sounds exciting. We traveled 250 miles to another state to get a dog once and I had one flown to me once but I never flew to get one. That is great. Will be going to the breeders house?

That is so exciting!! I have been watching your posts and know that you have been researching and waiting for that "just right pup and time". This is awesome!! So, when do you get him? Again, just so thrilled for you!! :)

I planned on it, but not 100% sure. I lost my job so, I am trying to conserve funds. If I go to the breeders house I will need to rent a hotel room because of the flight schedule and rent a car. I have a feeling I will just go to the house, but I am going back and forth on it. That money can go towards the other things I will need or want to get.

I just don't know yet. Any opinions on whether I should put in the extra expense to see the breeders house or just meet them at the airport for a round-trip flight?

F.Y.I I will be able to view the pup on web cam while I'm waiting.

I waited 5 years and still failed because I didn't adopt correctly.

My daughter saw Elvis on the internet, he met our qualifications, breeder answered all questions perfecrly...it was a mistake to adopt the way I did, taking only breeders word and her submitted reccomendations and then having Elvis shipped to us.

He's perfect don't regret getting him, despite now knowing the true nature of who we financially supported breeding and all of Elvis' medical and behavioral issues.

Well, if you have really done your homework on the breeder and are really sure about the kind of person they are and the kind of breeding they are dong then you probably don't need to go to the home. If the person has a really good reputation then it should be very clear to you.

Yes, this is how I feel. I'm thinking when I get the second one, I will go. I feel very confidant in the breeder and have not found anything alarming. I have been digging for years!

Yes, I do know the feeling. I waited more than three years. I think it was close to six years. My life was more complicated back then, and also, I didn't come across the right yorkie. But I did use the time fruitfully - I read about yorkies, spoke to breeders, and joined this forum.

Was Tatiana worth the wait? Absolutely. She's a gift from God.

Awwww... when are you getting yours? I will have mine in almost one month to the day. SO EXCITED!

I'm getting ready to reorganize, clean up, and make room for the little stinka!
