I'm glad to hear that her surgery went well... I can't imagine having to leave mine overnight though! I bet you will be very happy to get her back :) |
1 Attachment(s) Won't tell you not to worry cause that is what we do. She is so small but everything worked out and can't wait to get her picked up and just hold her. This was the last picture they sent me at 5:00. |
So glad Amy did well. Our little 2 pound, Allie was just spayed and teeth were pulled on Tuesday. She is still quiet and sore, but she did great. Amy will be back to her usual self in a few days. I'm sure you can't wait to get her back in your arms. I understand. I've been there too. Hugs! |
Great to hear she made it with flying colors. Shame your DH would not play fetch - you should have offered to rub his belly if he did a good job - ha ha ha! |
Glad she did well. I kept checking back for updates. I know how you worried. I am the same. |
Happy to hear she did well. What a fantastic pic! Look at her wittle arm all wrapped up and that ponytail. Amy is a doll! |
Amy is home and resting. She was so happy to see us her little tail would not quit wagging. She gobbled her dinner up and went to sleep. Don't think she will be fetching any balls tonight though. Thank you for all your concerns and ideas of ways to make it easier for her and for me. |
I'e been watching your posts and am so happy to hear that everything went well! I may take a few days for her to be up and running (or is that hours?) but you will have no worries about unwanted pregnancies. That is a relief in itself. Nothing against Breeders (cause without them we wouldn't have our babies) but when you don't want to breed, females need lots of extra attention, if you know what I mean. LOL So happy for you and your furbaby!! |
So happy everything went well for your baby. I however refused to leave my baby overnight in a strange place with strange people. I guess I just don't understand why anyone would allow it unless it was an emergency or something was wrong. I stayed with my baby during surgery and they brought her to me and allowed me to hold her while she was coming to. I sat at the vet and held her all day long and then took her home in the evening. I slept on the floor right beside her and basically didnt sleep as I wanted to watch hercontinually. I liken it to taking your 2 year old to the hospital and dropping them off and telling them you will be back the next day to pick them up. This is my child and not just a dog and there is no way I was going to leave her side at such a scarey time. They even gave her a shot while on my lap before hand to make her sleepy, she was sound asleep when they took her from me for the surgery. |
I do understand what you are saying Zoejane, but I have taken my dogs to this vet for over 20 years and trust them. Amy did just fine and they sent pictures of her after she woke up and through the day. The vet that did the surgery personally called me that day and the next day to see how she was doing. He is suppose to call Monday also. Was told if anything would happen this weekend to call him and he would open the office and meet us there. I am glad you did stay with your baby because it game you peace of mind to be there. Right now Amy is running around the house like nothing happened. We still are not letting her go up or down stairs and won't until her 10 days from surgery are up. She is being carried to and from going potty. |
