Oh how interesting..... Seems like she can see well enough to buy a new puppy and train it. BTW I looked up what exactly is "legally blind". It is even after wearing corrective lenses or glasses that you cannot achieve 20/20, but rather 20/200 or worse. I think that means that what a person with 20/20 vision can see at 200 ft, a legally blind person could only see it at 20 ft. My vision is so bad that there is only one stronger rx of corrective lenses above the one I wear. -11.5, and my eye doctor told me -12 is the strongest. If my vision gets worse, then there's nothing else I can do. Unless I can raise $16000 for surgery. Going blind and legally blind are two different things. What did she say? Blind or legally blind? |

Let's sum this up she could not afforded anything one of the things being her eyes surgery yet she suddenly can afford a French bull dog! Hmmm how can she even have followers I mean it's all laid out right there. How can people seriously believe she's not scamming people for money? |
Seriously I have NO idea how people can't see through all this BS! |
Well...ya know....Misa is getting to be older now....she's what a whole year old and is pretty much full grown. She's not a puppy anymore. Out of curiosity, is this the first tiny yorkie she's kept into adulthood(meaning she didn't re home it or it didn't die)? I was sort of wondering when a new puppy would be coming down the pipeline since Misa is grown up. Looks like she just needed to have another fundraiser to buy another dog. I was a bit surprised that she didn't get a yorkie, but if you are gunning to have a dog as a star, you do seem to see a lot or french bulldogs in TV, film and ads nowdays. She re-homed her "foster" chi ' s because she had to leave town to go get her eye surgery and couldn't take them with her. If those really were HER dogs,I'd venture to guess it gave her the perfect excuse to dump them to her sympathetic fans. |

From what it looks like, the new pup belongs to someone else, someone named tamtam? She is just training him. Of course, that could just be a lie so people who "donated" money to her don't realized they just helped pay for a new puppy. |
Brody is Tam's dog. I saw him pop up on her IG feed and was immediately sad :( |
I am betting that the chi's didn't make her any money. With chi's overflowing all the punds and shelters, they aren't "special". And who takes on fosters and then rehomes them? Usually the problem is they end up foster failures! If they weren't really her's, a person in their right mind would not call them fosters! If she was just training them, why would anyone say they are fosters? |

Could you please tell me who Misa's breeder was? I am looking for a puppy for our family and am looking for some good references. We have had such a horrible year losing my Doberman of 13 years to cancer, then my dad 10 days after that. Next my 11 year old Min Pin to kidney problems, and my 18 year old cat (that I have had 1/2 my life) is next because he has CRF. We really need some light brought back in our lives. Thank you, Shannon |
She will never tell you who she gets these tiny babies from. She keeps getting them and then something happens to them and they die. Her history with these little ones is very sad. |

Wow! Thank you for the info! I am having a hard time finding a good breeder. I will take a look at the link. Thanks again for the info. |

Yes, start with the YTCA. Avoid breeders who advertise in the local paper, craigslist, etc. When you see puppies, make sure the mom is there at least. If there are a bunch of puppies and no mom, that person is most likely a broker. Ask plenty of questions, and if you get the run around or excuses, skip them and go find another. It's hard to find a good breeder. I'd say 99.9% of them are no good. It's hard to find that .1%, but those are the best of the best. If you think you don't need a beautiful show quality dog, then please consider rescuing one. |
My gooooodness! I didn't read all the posts, but I had no idea about the back story on Misa Minnie's owner! This is so interesting because while I was deciding between a Maltese (same as my previous dog) and a Yorkie, I decided on Yorkie because of Misa Minnie's cute Youtube videos. Her training and tricks were so inspiring. Had no clue her owner was a member here, scammed people for money, only to buy more unhealthy teacups! How awful! I could tell from Misa's adult looks that she wasn't bred 'standard', but I never bothered to questioned where she came from. That was before all my research on backyard breeders. Then by the time I got my Scottie, I forgot all about her. Guess I shouldn't be too shocked. But glad I found out about this! Definitely no longer a fan of hers! |
eeek, I LOVE her videos and haven't read this whole thread but it sounds sad :( eek |
I just read through this whole thread and it reminds me of the quarter horse/thoroughbred world. Whenever animals are bred for speed or sport (or cuteness/tricks, in this case) in order to make money for their owners, many — the ones not fast enough or talented enough — or possibly in this case, trick-cute-tiny-trainable enough — get “culled”; thrown by the wayside. This is only my guess, but it’s possible for a person bent on becoming a star through training a tiny and adorable dog, to go through dogs until they end up with the one that hits the jackpot. |
To add for clarity — Not that I’m saying she purposely kills dogs. I mean that, purposely buying the tiniest yorkies to train and use for sideshowesque/money purposes, with these tiniest ones having the most health issues, usually, and coming from less scrupulous breeders, usually, would definitely show more deaths, or more “turnover”. And I also am not saying all breeders of smaller yorkies have less morals. I’m saying that unscrupulous breeders know the popular draw and the extra “cha-ching” of the smallest yorkies. |
Anybody know if little Miss is still alive, still starring in videos? |

It breaks my heart to even hear or see little Misa's name. Anyone that knows dogs / Yorkies can tell Misa is not a happy baby in any of those videos, she has no life in her little eyes. There was always a bowl of food or treats in these videos, never did Misa get a food reward, you can see Misa look at the food or treat wanting it but never getting it. Misa was a working dog only, not a loved one and it showed in her eyes. People think what a wonderful trainer she had and how cute Misa was, but if you really looked at the dog her eyes told the story, she was not a happy yorkie. Over working a wee lil pup like Misa to me is animal abuse. |

Little Misa never glowed with joy at doing her ‘work’ as Tibbe does when he performs obedience and his couple of tricks. He baits me several times a day throwing trick behaviors to train, he loves it so much. He’s so cute begging to train we do it even on days he’s feeling his arthritis and I modify my obedience requests accordingly. We don’t do sit-ups or his left forepaw wave or high five anymore as his left shoulder is arthritic, though he throws that behavior at times to bait me to work with him! So endearing but I try to stop him before he hurts himself, always with happy distractions so he won’t think I’m displeased with his performance. Misa just never showed that utter enthusiasm in her work and if that’s missing, so is the fun and camaraderie, team-spirit any dog doing tricks should show if his trainer makes training fun, a big win. Poor little thing, hope she’s not really dead, unless her life was unhappy and fearful. In that case, she’d be better off out of that home entirely! |
