My prayer answered - Thank you, to my new friend who gave me the greatest gift I'm so happy that I cried with joy last night and part of the morning - literally shed a pool of tears! God has granted my request and blessed me with a baby male Yorkie. My sister is bringing him home today for me. To the wonderful woman who allowed me to adopt her baby - I just want to publicly declare my thanks. I am more appreciative of your gift than you can possibly know. Once the little guy is here, I will have pictures taken and posted for you to see how him safe in my arms, and so you can finally see the face of the woman who's life you changed. I am not posting the specifics of our adoption agreement because that is between you and me, unless you choose to reveal it. I am not posting your name unless you choose to be revealed. But you know who you are and I pray we remain friends via email and the occasional phone call for a long long time to come. I pray God blesses you and your family this holiday season and the years to come. Thank you again, from the bottom of my heart, with all my being, for the generosity of allowing me to adopt one of your babies. He will spoiled and overly loved more than he could possibly dream in his doggy dreams. I'm fixing to have my husband take me to Petsmart so I can start the spoiling process today!!! Thank you again and again. |
I have a sneaky feeling I know the special woman you are talking about and won't say a word here either.... and if it IS - I'm not surprised at all. Congratulations on your new baby - how exciting for you and I wish you the best of luck.... :) :) Merry Christmas to you and your family ! |

This is such a sweet thread to read. What a special gift and congratulations on your new baby. I can't wait to see pictures. :p |
Congrats !! on your new baby. What a wonderful christmas suprise...Sherry |
TeeHee...I think I know who this special woman is too! This is such special news. Congratulations! What a wonderful Christmas you will have. Both the receiver and the giver of this "gift" should receive extra blessings this Christmas season! Merry Christmas and God Bless! to both of you. |
Wow! What a wonderful, grateful post! I wish you the happiest holiday season ever with your new baby! I, too, think I know who it is ;) |
I can't verify who she is without her permission. But I have already put a Christmas card in the mailbox for her - she will receive a card and picture every year from me and the baby. And I haven't told you the name of him yet! Matthew has always been a special name for me. I lost my firstborn child, my son, at birth and always made a vow before God that I would name my next son Matthew - which means 'Gift of God'. Well, due to health complications that resulted in a hysterectomy, I will never have a biological human son. But now I have a furry son coming home. And I was going to name him Matthew. Well my husband is German so we are going to use the German version of the name. When my baby arrives tonight, I will say a prayer over him, thanking God for this gift, asking for blessings from his former mommy, and we will christen him .... Matthias Chandler ______ (my last name inserted on the line). I'll likely just call him Matt or Mattie for short. :) My sister is coming home tonight and is stopping by to pick him up so that I don't have to travel. He won't get here until about 10pm-ish. So tomorrow, I will take pictures and post them. God bless all! |

I know how excited you must be. Talk about a long day. Just think it won't be that long until you will be giving him hugs & kisses. |
As we all know, there are miracles occuring and prayers being answered all the time. But, at this time of year. it seems a little more special..You will have a furry little angel watching over you and sharing his form of "Matthew love" with you and your family. I so hope everything works out really, really well. If not, you just take him right back to that breeder..Yeah, right!!! Post pics of him with you and your family when you can.. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!! |
p.s. Do NOT buy too much before you get him. You can take him with you and fit the things to him. BUT, remember, do not let him on the floor at pet stores til he has had ALL of his shots and maybe not even then...too many bad buggeys to make that boy sick.. |
The spirit of christmas at it's best.... to the breeder who gave this special gift, I believe you have wings waiting for you, whom ever you are. The post brought tears to my eyes, I love to read these posts- it reminds me that the world is full of wonderful people. Enjoy your new baby :) and have a great holiday season. |
Yes no floors in pet stores. i always bring my own blanket and push mine around in the cart. I woul also recommend using those sanitary wipes they have for poop pickups and wiping down the edges and surface of cart first. Sorry to seem paranoid , but I am always seeing coughing hacking dogs at the Petsmart |
