| Spay/neuter I was on the bandwagon... I have had pets all my life, and they have ALL been fixed...even my goat! My lab (a female) is spayed. But now, with Joey..I am so scared to do it. Hes so spunky and doesnt mark on anything, hes not aggressive, or excessively humping anything. So I have been putting it off. But I want to get a female standard yorkie, and I am worried that she may put me under the same spell. She will be cute, sweet, and little. I really need to get it done with both of them, Im just afraid he will be a different dog when he wakes up. I like his little attitude, and I feel like hes absolutely perfect the way he is. Any and all dogs hes ever come into contact with he loves. I also feel like the risk of cancer for him is there regardless. I know that if his testicles are removed, he may not get that type...but there are other types, and so I wouldnt be doing it just for that risk. I do however, feel like it will be much different with a female because I dont feel that their uterus controls their attitudes as much as the testosterone in a male. Maybe Im weird...I just needed to vent

| Lots of people who get there dogs fixed never experience any kind of change in personality. No matter what a male dog will always fallow there instincts and if he smells a female in heat he will try to get to her and he could hurt himself VERY bad doing that. I feel if you can prevent a type of cancer you should. Also what is someone see's your dog is not fixed and steals him to use to breed or sell. Or what if he got out and someone took him and saw he was not fixed and kept him to breed or kept him to sell to someone? I also feel that its part of a pet owners responsibility. If you do plan to get a female many many accident happen and we have seen them here before many times.

| Its less invasive then getting a female spayed. Do the blood work before and he should be fine vets do this a whole lot. And don't forget to ask all us for prayers/good thought when hes going to have it done because it really does help

| I get it though Callie is going to have to go under anesthesia for her broken tooth and I am crazy with worry even thought I know the place doing it is great and that it has to be done. Shes my world.
