May I suggest you contact your emergency vet on call - I'm so sure you have one. Your written words are a tad confusing. Just make sure until such time as you can talk to a vet, that all pups are kept warm, and are nursing. If not you will need to supplement feed them.

If there is something wrong with the pup the mom may refuse to take care of it. I would also suggest you consult your vet right away. Get some puppy replacement milk from the vet or your local pet supply store.

new puppies Thank you all. Went to vet to have tails and dew claws removed on 12-24. He did a puppy exam and said all was well. When I asked him why she was taking little one out he said he is small and mom is trying to protect him. I notice that when she takes him out it is usually by the head in her mouth. I tell her to put him back in box she will but after she put him down she acts like she is digging a hole then she starts licking him. He eats well just cant understand this. This is my first time as a breeder and I am scared to go through this again. Anyone have any suggestions. I don't want to lose another one lost little female 2 nd day. Maybe i should be in this breeding. Mom and Dad are AKC registered. All information would be appreciated. Thank you.

The puppy will die if it does not stay with the mom to keep warm. You need to watch and make sure that puppy does not get separated from the litter. Since it is small make sure the other pups don't push it out of the way at meal time.
