Cinders is the same- sleeps or sits quietly, won't eat a normal amount of food or play when she's dressed. I find this a good thing though, dressing her for company helps her to not be so hyper!!

| Kiki hates sweaters but she loves her PJ's and a coat.

fleece shirt for dog on Etsy, a global handmade and vintage marketplace. Your little guy would probably do best in something that does not have sleeves at least for now. Keeping the core of his body warm is the most important anyway. | |

| Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | Mine don't love clothes but they tolerate them if they're comfortable. My male, particularly, doesn't like any kind of fabric invading his, uh, private space. Even after 8 years of wearing clothes, if I get something that rides too deep on his belly, he will throw a fit. With the probably-uncomfortable costume, you may have inadvertently taught him that all clothes are bad. You might try finding something especially comfortable and unobtrusive just to get him to the point where he knows clothes aren't all bad. And give him lots of treats when you put coats on to make it more fun. Below is a link to some petco coats that I like. They fit like a horse blanket, with just a strap around the neck area and one under the belly. These are wool, but fleece is nice too. http://www.petco.com/product/114136/...-Dog-Coat.aspx

| This is a really funny thread. I too can relate. My first yorkie, Sunny, LOVED clothes and would beg at her clothing drawers for me to put something on her. She wore something all the time. ![]() Now Ginger, my 2nd yorkie...... She HATES clothes. If I put something on her, she won't even try to move for a while. She stands completely still with her legs spread out like I'm going to frisk her. Looks pitiful. IF I get her to move, she walks completely sideways. It's hilarious!! Take the clothes off and she's all better. What a hoot! ![]() I think it just depends on the dog. I have been trying to get Ginger to wear something for 4 years now with no luck. ![]()

| Heidi enjoys wearing clothes. She doesn't normally wear them at home very often, but when I put one on her to take her on a therapy dog visit, she acts much more prissy in it. She often gets excited when I get one out of her closet. The other day she was standing on the bed while I was standing next to her. I had one of my shirts in my hands turning it inside out, the next thing I knew she was trying to get her head in it. It was funny, made me laugh.

| Ha!I guess my crew are weird! They all wear clothes and could care less. My oldest Bevo actually acts silly when he is "naked". He cant stand it and will actually go to his closet or if we are on a trip to his bag begging for clothes! So funny how they are all so different!
