Names Well... When I got Charlie the girl I got him from had named him Benji (I didnt care for that to much) and he didnt come to it when you called him Benji, and when I was looking at his AKC certificate it said his official name was "King Chariel Fancy Poo Smith" :eek: LOL what a name. When I saw the word "Chariel", Charlie came to mind and our last name is Brown it just made sense :D |

Thomas. It is after our vet Dr. Thompson. We chose his name because our baby Kaj had to be put to sleep last Feb. He was 16 years and 8 mos. and Dr. Thomas was the best ever and gave him the best care possible. So when we got our new little guy we wanted to show how much we cared for the man that treated our baby over the years. |

My big dog- Buddy- is named Prince Adolf Budweiser. Our across the street neighbor's had a dog named Duke and I thought, Oh, my dog will be better than a Duke! Then I wanted a German name that had wolf in the meaning- Adolf means Noble Wolf. Then when DH brought him home he was so timid that I was talking to him and trying to get him to come see me and I kept calling him Buddy. DH laughed and said that he'd been calling him Buddy all day, as well so I said, Perfect, the rest of his name is Budweiser and we'll call him Buddy. So our dog is Prince Adolf Budweiser (Prince Noble Wolf King of Beers.) =D |

We named Neo that because hubby is a huge Matrix fan. I wanted to name him Boomer, but when DH suggested Neo, I went along with it because I was just SO happy I finally had a puppy (after begging for almost 18 years!). Then I got to name the next one, which is Connor, after one of MY favorite movie characters, The Highlander. Funny thing is, most of the time neither boy is called by their proper names--its either Ne-Ne, or Connie! |
Poor Tyson went without a name for almost a week! I just couldn't think of anything I really liked and that fit him. Anyway, he loved DH so much and always wanted to nap on DH's shoulder, but Tyson would always try to chew on his ear. I was standing in the kitchen one evening when DH let out a yelp! He asked Tyson, "Who do you think you are, Mike Tyson?" Well, I just knew that was the right name!:D |

I heard the name Yumi on a Japanese horror movie, and just loved it. Not being Japanese I couldn't exactly plan to name a kid that because everyone would think I was insane. I was like "Yumi the yorkie! It's perfect!" I ended up getting Yuri before Yumi, and thought Yuri would sound good with it, so I went with it. The meaning of Yumi depends on a kanji used. we'll go with evening beauty lol. Yuri I think meant Farmer or earth-worker in Russian, or Lily in Japanese :P |
