Make sure snacks are snack sized and not meal sized. |
Most of the chain pet stores and department stores sell mass marketed packaged junk food for pets. Especially in the treat department. Read the ingredient lists. They usually use a bunch of creep ingredients and try to make it look like real food. Tons of preservatives and other bad ingredients. |
I will start trying these new treats Im sure they are much better then some of the treats I have been giving her. Iknow she seems to like the bad treats but I dont want anything that will hurt her so I will start trying fruit to see what she likes. Thanks everyone |

And yes I agree with sugarmamma, make sure snacks are tiny snacks, otherwise they'll be too full for a regular meal with has all the balanced nutrition they need. |

i feel awful..ive been giving my baby boy milk bones..the little ones, that only have 5 calories..he loves them...have to find another healthier treat for training...He is sick of cheerios... |
We give our dogs beggin strips. milk bone and chicken jerky to our dogs and the vet a said that it was fine. I also had a dog that was raised eating these treats and he lived to be 19 years old. We also had a beagle for almost 16 years old who was given these treats. |

Not an ice cub's chance in some place that starts with "H..." would I give most of what is on the shelves to my pets. I wouldn't eat those ingredients...neither will they if I have my way. Just my opinion...:p |
