So happy to hear that your furbaby is doing fine! |

I hope the Vet gave you pain med's for her. I know when they are small like she is it can seem scary, but my Luci did fantastic and she was under 3 pounds. PM me if I can answer any questions for you. |
Just seeing your thread and am so glad Kyra is home and okay. My Jilly when I had her spaying and Tibbe with his neutering were both extremely out of it that first night home, ate, drank almost nothing and that had to be hand-offered them, water syringed into the pocket at edge of mouth. By the next day they were better but still iffy, had to be encouraged to eat, drink. By the 3rd. po day, they were pretty much normal except I wouldn't let them jump, play much or anything much but take it easy. Check her incision as the vet showed you and call if any questions. Be sure to keep that baby comfortable with the pain Rx. as prescribed and hopefully by this weekend, you will have a dog who is all back to mostly normal except you'll still probably limit certain activities a bit. |
Thank you all so much for your support. We tried the baby food and got her to eat most of a small jar from my fingers and also syringed 3 full of water. She went out to pee and is now resting again. And yes they gave her meds but she cannot have another dose until tomorrow morning. |

I am glad Kyra is safe and sound at home:) I agree with Kathy the pain meds might decrease her appetite. Georgie didn't eat much at all after his surgeries. Keep us posted on sweet Kyra. |
