| ::Doggie Diaper Bag:: Hey There! I am getting my first Yorkie in January. I have been reading about yorkies for months, probably have read too much to be honest. I travel a decent amount, I am a full time student going to school 600 miles away from my family so on breaks etc I travel to see them. I also want to be prepared when we go on walks or anything. So I am making a bag to use as a Doggie Diaper Bag. Well while reading I have noticed you need many things on hand in case of emergencies such as Nutri-cal, karo syrup, and baby food. So I am planning on having these in the bag as well as the poop bag things a set of bowls a fresh water bottle when we leave and a small bag of food. I was thinking maybe treats or toys as well... My question is what would you have on hand and prepared on walks or travel things in the "Doggie Diaper Bag". Thank You! |

| I remember when I was a full time student in college. I didn't have a lot of spare time. Why would you want to get a pup when you are at school and don't have much free time? These little ones need care and attention. Yorkies are very delicate when young. You really should reconsider getting a pup at this time in your life. JMO

| I have a carrier that my two ride in and it has several pockets, so I always keep on hand: -Poop bags -Fold-able water dish -Treats -Hair ties -A warm sweater for both of them -Leashes When we travel, I will pack a separate bag for their food, bowls, extra clothes, more treats etc. If you plan on traveling a lot, I would recommend getting a carrier to put your pup in so she can get used to it. It is very convenient to be able to put your dog in a bag to run into a store and eliminates the need for you to ever have to leave her in the car, at a hotel etc.

| Sensitive baby wipes, pop up dishes, blanket or two, jacket in winter, extra clothing, small pet first aid kit, poo bags, info cards about her with the number of our regular vet and ER vet and there addresses, water, treats, food, comb, toy, when I am going out of town I add an extra harness and leash just in case.

YT 500 Club Member | I am a full time college student and my fur baby is 7 months now. I go to school for hours and she does just fine. During the summer when I first got her I worked a 8 hour job and just had my bestfriend to check on her once or twice that day (for about 3 weeks). She does very well at home and when I get home I shower her with love. I also have a baby bag to take with me it has: -Toys -Blanket -Clothes -Bows -Food -Food and water bowl -Spoon to mix her hard and soft dog food up -leash (2) -Harnest -Bath towels -Tooth paste -Tooth brush (2) Um thats all I can think about right now lol |

| For weekend trips I use an antique makeup/train case. I recovered the inside with pretty fabric. For short trips Mina's things go in my large purse, right along with her. She knows that this is her bag. We didnt go very far when she was tiny,so I didnt have to carry much for the short trips. For a weekend trip,I take a bit of everything that she uses at home including her crate and stroller. Congrats, I hope that you enjoy your new baby. |

| I'd add some paper towels and Clorox wipes for accidents. And some small ziplock bags.

| I am glad that you understand where my thoughts were coming from regarding waiting to get your pup. In my day (really old days) a full schedule at college was all day, five days a week. It was harsh. I was exhausted all the time. It sounds like you have it under control. Best of luck with finding the right pup for you.
