Interesting to see all the different answers! 2x per day P-Nut gets boiled chicken over 1/2 cup* dry food, which is Halo Spot's Stew for toy and small breeds. He doesn't eat all of the dry food, which is then left out for a free feed extravaganza during the day and evening. Once in a while he gets a spoonful of low fat Greek yogurt and snacks include veggies/fruits, such as carrots and apples. *he's a teapot, 10lbs, so I'm going by the instructions on the bag for that weight. |
i have a 1 and a half year old Yorkie boy (12lbs) and a 7 month pomeranian girl (5.5lbs). they both eat Fromm Duck and sweet potato. i free feed 1/4 cup at a time in their two eating spots. total of probably a cup to a cup and a 1/4 total food down each day. they both pretty much eat the same amount. the pom likes to snack her foods throughout the day and my yorkie (who was sooooooooooooooo soooo picky before i got the pom) eats at different times all the time. he gulps down his food in one sitting two times a day. |
Nutro Lamb and Rice formula. 1/3 a cup twice a day. Typically around 6:30am and 5pm. |
Toby eats 1/8 cup of Fromm Gold for puppys twice a day. Paisely, Angel, and Colby get 1/4 cup split 3 ways 3 times a day. There weights are not on the dog food bag, so I have always just guessed how much to feed them. They all get the Fromm Gold though. |
we feed jasmin twice a day, at 10am and 6pm. She gets 1/3 cup of royal canin for yorkie puppy. I hope this is a good type of food for her. She seems to be doing well. This is what her previous owner has been feeding her. She is not a picky eater which is great. |
Riley eats 1/4 cup of Natural Balance LID and some boiled chicken mixed in twice a day, he's my big boy at 10 lbs. Ruby also gets NB LID, but only 1/8 cup with boiled chicken mixed in, also twice a day. She's 3.5 lbs. Both pups get treats throughout the day, a bite of cheese, freeze dried chicken, etc. Tonight we had BLTs for dinner so they each got a bite of bacon. |
Right now I am feeding Canine Caviar Wilderness. Chase gets about 1/4 cup 2 times a day. Calvin gets about 1/8 cup 2 times a day. They get Grandma Lucy's mixed in in the morning, and a cube of wet food mixed in in the evening, and they eat at 6:30am and 6:30pm (on weekends we sleep in and they eat later in the am). They get cocotherapy chips for a bedtime snack, sometimes a cookie as a snack, and cheerios for treats. |
Crimson gets 1/8 cup 3x days. Royal Canin Puppy Plus the occasion kibble Of her brothers hills prescription diet j/d but we try to avoid it :) |
Hal eats Royal Canin 10w and older food.. and i free feed him bc sometimes, our visitor dog comes and gobbles up all his food! |
Harley eats candidae all life stages Nd gets 1/4 cup in the am, and if he doesn't eat it all, I pick it up around noon and give him the rest at night time, if he does eat it all I give hi another 1/4 cup at nightandhe usually eats half of it. He is almost 8 months and is 5 pounds |
Lexi gets 1 cube of Weruva canned (I open the can then freeze the rest in an ice cube tray) mixed with some natures variety kibble. About 1/4 cup total in the morning. Topped with fish oil, powder for her teeth and probiotics. Sometimes I give her a bit of egg mixed in. or a bit of extra lean ground beef. At night she gets 1/4 cup of Real Meat Pet Food. She stay right around 5 lbs. |
