Thanksgiving Meal for Pups? For those of you that home cook ( or supplement with "real food")...do you make Thanksgiving Dinner for your pups? I have done it for the last 4 years. Because I home cook, I cook for 1- 2 weeks at a time. Tonight was Fall Feast!!I made turkey breast and Gala apple, butternut squash and English peas. Oh ~ and fresh cranberries. Curri was so excited that she CRIED through her meal :D:D ((BTW.....Curri got a double portion of peas because I haven't added the blended up peas yet, and Sugar LOVES to pea all over the floor :rolleyes:)) |
Sadly since Tibbe's June tummy issues, he's not allowed to eat anything else but his special food. However, I'm thinking I might try letting him have a tiny bit of turkey(if I can find a portion not too seasoned) or roll on top of his kibble and canned food as we pig out. Your babies' dinner sounds yummy. Wish I'd had that! |
AHHH that's so cute!!!!!! Sophia and Brody only eat kibble.... but your two eat better food than I do ;) |

Hey Sugarmamma-- can you share your recipe for Thanksgiving Dinner doggie style? I'm starting to homecook for my boys and would like to know how you do it. I use my pressure cooker and crock pot quite a bit, how about you? :D |

the correct link is Welcome to Pet Diets |
That sounds yummy!!!! I don't cook, but I do make the boys a special Thanksgiving day dinner after we get back from my grandma's house. I get boneless skinless turkey breast tenderloins, frozen organic diced sweet potatoes, frozen organic green beans, canned organic plain pumpkin and organic plain yogurt. They eat better than we do lol |

I home cook but noticed my girls can't digest the homemade meals very well. It would show up in their poo. Lately their doggie logs have been soft and runny (not fun to pick up) gag. So now we're back to kibble. Any suggestions?! |

Both have smallish well formed poos most of the time (although Curri seems to occasionally poo longer than allowable by nature logs ) |
Tibbe can't handle anything that rich either since June. He's got a tricky tummy now - even boiled chicken white or dark gives him bad gas. Can't even lick the juice off it! He certainly can't do veggies right now either. His TG meal will be very simple with a bite or 3 of some meat but I might get scared & give him a bit of roll middle only. I don't want to be at the ER vet all that night so we'll keep it simple this year. |
I need to hire a vet nutritionist? I was hoping to get by with the basics. So where do I begin madame guru  :D |

it's only $25 per pet for a customized diet. |

Guess we need a disclaimer, read at your own risk.. or at your own discretion. |
Your pups sure are spoiled Lisa! Did you get a video of Curri eating? We actually do feed Thanksgiving meal. Although they just get turkey and carrots each year. |

I will try to get another one soon...she truly cries for her dinner :D:D:D |
Mikki might get some turkey this year. However, Miss Rosie will stick with chicken or deer. :D |
