Gorgeous Gorgeous 3yr old female Double Registered AKC & CKc Yorkie girl ! Beautiful baby doll face short short nose with big eyes, Jade has the most AMAZING coat ! Thick, Silky, very long and dark ! Jade weighs
6lbs with a solid body structure with short legs.
We would consider placing Jade into a small breeding home where being a pet comes first, she will produce gorgeous baby doll faced puppies if a small breeder is interested her babies are small. Pet home Jade is $2800 breeding home Jade is $3500, I have also attached a picture of what her babys look like.
My question is why does she want to place her how many litters has she had in yr young life:confused:

No DNA Testing noted
No bile salts numbers given
No pedigree mentioned - lineage
Doesn't specify preferred breeding experienceknowledge of the purchaser

And, as you said, how many liters has she had.

Also short nose is off standard, dark coloring is off standard, short legs, off standard.

$2000-3000 is an awful lot to pay for an off standard yorkie. For that much I would be asking some top show breeders to buy one from them at show quality for that price!

This person is just looking to make even more money off this poor dog than she already has.

My concern is I have not seen alot of breeders that will rehome a gorgeous momma, that throws gorgeous babies....with years of breeding ahead of her...she is right in her prime....her description of "short noses" and "short legs" are in the eyes of the beholder....she could be well within breed standard, as opposed to "up on legs".....and "short noses" could be nothing more than "not Silkie Terrier like", rather than like a pug....and if she nails the breed standard, if bred to the correct male, you could also have a show prospect puppy on your hands.... I personally do not think a female, with the right lines in her pedigree, that is in her prime, that is "a proven producer" that could possibly even free whelp, is over priced at $3500.00. You would need to speak with the seller and ask about pedigree, testing done, litters she has had, is she a free whelper or does she need vet assistance to be delivered, etc.

Am I just crazy or do I think that is way too much for a dog? My pup wasnt anywhere near that! I wouldnt want a female thats already been bred anyways, there little boobies sag and its not pretty.

I need to add, what do YOU want to do with this little lady? THAT is, in my opinion, the determining factor as to whether the price is appropriate. And if this little lady is beautiful AND HEALTHY, well I think $2800.00 for a 3 year old HEALTHY, beautiful pet quality Yorkie, is worth the price....if you doubt that, just speak with some people that are now faced with huge vet bills, nights of worry and heartache, to correct genetic issues, ask someone that has just lost their precious beloved baby to some organ failure that was genetic or congenital in origin, what they would pay to have their precious pet back, healthy, happy and whole. Then you decide what it is worth TO YOU.....

"Boobies sag......." ? Surely you jest...........

Seriously?? My Willow whom I adopted almost 2 yrs ago was a breeder release to a Rescue Group and she was 5 1/2 yrs old, and her boobies don't sag at all. As a matter of fact they are very, very little.

if it was a puppymill baby then that would be very possible though would it not?
this little girl is only 3 though, so i doubt she'll have a droopyness problem... if she does then there is something Very not right :(

Poor little girl. I hope and pray somebody will save her from a life of nothing but one pregnancy after the other until she is too old or worn out.

My Sadie was bred 3 times all miscarriages no sagginess plus I'm caring for 2 breeder dogs suri who's 5 and has had several little es Tyra who's only had one no saggy boobies plus I don't care if they did they're so cute anyways love all my babies no matter how their boobies look

First question why does this dog appeal to you ? Do you want a show dog, pet or breeder ? If a breeder, I would require proof on paper, of her health tests, and all Vet records, as well as pedigrees etc. I do not think the prices mentioned are out of line for a proven free breeder or show quality bitch. But for a retired breeder that will be spayed and a pet only I do think the price is a little high. Good breeders will often place retired breeders for under a thousand dollars.
The description of the dog is in the eye of the beholder. My idea of a perfect looking Yorkie would include words like, straight top line, blocky body, short nose, high set medium long tail, small high set ears and level bite, blue and tan silky coat, and proud carriage. Notice how the words make a picture ? But, my mental picture may be quite different than yours. What is a small short nose to me, may be very different to you.

All of the dogs Ive seen had saggy boobies. Im not trying to sound rude. I went to adopt before purchasing my puppy and they were all in horrible condition. Almost like a stray mother dog. I felt bad and felt like it needed more care than what I could give. I have had animals all my life and the females that have babies almost always have a sag.

Do you really mean "sag" or just larger nipples? My Uni didn't get spayed until she was almost 3 yrs old, and hers are a tiny bit longer than usual, and I mean about 1/4" of an inch. Those that were spayed before or soon after their first heat are almost flat or tiny bumps with a dot on top.

I've seen puppymill breeders with huge swollen mammary glands, HUGE, that's what I would call saggy. to compare the two is quite shocking.

The ad states nothing about the pedigree or what lines the dog comes from. It states nothing about health testing or any show record of the parents or the dog it's self. This sounds like a breeder that is cashing in on the present tiny dog craze. There are so many people that have started breeding small dogs that they are just about every where with various types of set ups. Some on large scale and others on a some what smaller scale out of the home.

These people care nothing about the genetic background of the dogs they breed. They just find small dogs that they think look right and put them together to produce babies. These people weaken the genetic structure of the breed and also produce litters that are very inconsistent in type and quality

Since their objective in breeding is only monetary they skimp on proper veterinary care and do their own medical procedures and shots. Their stock is very prone to disease. They also end up caging these poor money making creatures since it is impossible to keep the number of breeding male and female dogs they have together in the home.

Many people look at breeding dogs as a "fun" home business but there are so many aspects of breeding purebred dogs that they are unaware of and the result is tragic in many cases.

I would never consider giving money to people who exploit any animal for their own "fun" or monetary reward. How many litters will that poor little dog produce? Only God knows. People who want to make money off the backs of these little dogs are capable of anything.

I've seen what you're talking about and that doesn't bother me. But what I was referring to is actually saggy. Swollen glands and looking like they're still nursing.

Also, dogs that are used strictly for breeding may not get along with a new owner or your dogs. They are skiddish because of lack of socialization.

WELL I can say I have adopted 4 females that were used for breeding, 3 came from a PuppyMill from Missouri that the Rescue group called Puppymill Rescue got them out of there, and one was a release from Breeder to the Rescue Group I adopted her from. NONE of my girls had saggy boobs. They all got along with my all my others. I give High Praise to their Foster Mom's who had them before I adopted them with the work they did with them.

I'm not saying all...but you also said that yours had a Foster mom that worked with them. Not saying you didn't and don't work with them but not everyone has that opportunity.

Something I've noticed about scams, wether it's something for sale or a response, is that the person writing ALWAYS has a space before their exclamation mark. When I sell things on craigslist and see responses like that, I don't bother responding anymore.

Wow... that's pretty astute. I pride myself on picking up patterns, and I did not see that. I'll be very aware of that now. The language in the post raised alarms for me, but I didn't pick up on the punctuation pattern.

I will add my old fogey two cents worth in. This ad is suspect on a number of levels - the person appears not to know the standard for the YT - big caUTION...... No Championships or lineage described.

Finally and here is the old fashioned lady speaking, why would any reputable breeder try to rehome a gal through this print medium? Especially a gal that has been bred before. And why would any right thinking person who wanted a show dog to breed be scanning these ads?

If I ever decided to breed Yorkies - which will never happen - I know exactly who I would go to, for a breeding female and yes there is more than one breeder I would speak with. Accent on speak with! Not email, not respond to ads...yada yada. I would do at least one year of research on their lines, and this is after seeing their dogs in show rings for at least four years.

I`m sorry but if you want to rehome é sell a breeding female - I would be very concerned about the why

Wow. That is really sad. I have to admit I don't know what "type" is winning in the Yorkshire Terrier ring in Canada but those photos look much like the photo shopped ones you see in the Korean ads. The term "extreme" always makes my stomach turn. In the past I did show Himalayan cats and the breeders that decided to go "extreme" are responsible for the ruin of some beautiful breeds.
There is little other information on their site except about hypoglycemia so that should throw up some red flags.
