Have you tried emailing this person: http://www.brevardcounty.us/images/l...l.jpg?sfvrsn=0 Email Interim Director Kathy Beatson |
In the website for United Yorkie Rescue there is a new listing, no picture yet though, but he is being fostered in Orlando: Florida INITIAL BIO 11/8/2012: Bodie is a cuuuuuute 2 year old 7 lb little guy who is the latest little boy to be rescued by UYR. He is 2 years old, 7 lb, and is being fostered in Orlando, FL. Bodie had a BIG week! He was neutered and had all his shots and is ready for his FURever home! He is a sweet but timid little guy. He is a little skittish when you go to pick him up and needs to learn that not all humans are bad. We would classify him as a "runner" and shouldn't be adopted to a home with young children. Bodie is a lover and a sweet little guy. He is a pleasure in his foster mom's home. Stay tuned for more as we get to know this little guy!Bodie |

The link to Brodie says 2 and was just neutered. Ellie says Bengi is 6. I also thought Bengi was neutered...? |
He is older, I just thought maybe they are guessing his age at the moment since it's a recent rescue. I know she has children and the site says he is skittish around kids but may be its because he has been alone running around.. I know, I know... I'm grasping at straws :( |

Some shelters will let anyone view a dog before the adoption date & put a Hold on it to come back & adopt it once the legal time period for it's owner to claim it has expired, but they don't normally let anyone visit/touch/handle the dog until the adoption date. |
Another sad case for microchipping your babies.......PLEASE!!! PLEASE!!! PLEASE!!!! If you have a pet, please have that pet microchipped....this entire questioning about "is it ? or isnt it ?", would not even be an issue! |

"Hindsight is always 20/20." in Re: microchipping Is there any news about Benji???:confused::confused::confused: |
Update? |
On the other thread she said it does not look like it is him. |
]"Hindsight is always 20/20." in Re: microchipping Yes in this case, it is hindsight.....but I am pleading with everyone else out there, that have pets that for whatever reason, they have NOT microchipped, PLEASE DO SO NOW!! That is not hindsight, that is forethought! I am certain ANYONE that finds themself in this position, including Ellie, wishes they would have just taken the time to have that done! |
 Microchip your dogs... |

i think that the hotel should pay for the postcard or door knocker mail out service. then all the houses in the area could have his information. they can put his picture and reward info on that postcard. Ellie said that he was wearing a collar with his phone number on it... i mean who knows it could come off somehow...but it he comes into a shelter with the tag on they would call right away wouldn't they??? i feel like someone is holding him as their own. the mail out service would cover so much ground in a safe way. still leaves it up to the finder to call....and i guess maybe if they were decent and he still had the collar they would have called already....but it's worth a shot. sheesh poor Ellie - i can't imagine how draining this must be. we have got your back though!!!! |
Could that toenail have been clipped back short by someone or perhaps been ripped off when Bengi was running loose? Was there a scab there or red area there? And what if that black around the nose is just shadow or a lighting effect and the worker there is just saying there is a lot of it because that's what it looks like to her or she is just thinking of the nose itself or - the person trying to adopt him is an acquaintance? The fact that those people won't allow face and close muzzle of the nose area and paw shots on the foot with that toenail by a surrogate(forms emailed by Ellie could allow her to act in her stead) because of their RULES gives that shelter 4 paws down in my review! Can a microchip ever malfunction - just fail???? I worry about that. |
