Ann, how old is Crimson? She's probably teething and her breath will smell funky during that time. If the baby teeth aren't coming out (which is common with Yorkies), you'll need to get the vet to pull them because it can lead to gum disease and her losing her adult teeth.

Mandie is 9 months now (as of yesterday) and she has her top 2 canines that never fell out so the vet is going to pull those when she's a year old.

Terri, she is 7 months. Yes... she still has all of her canines. It is actually kind of scarey looking. LOL. I've been putting off getting her spayed because of the teeth and her weight. Her smell is finally better now that I finally wedged some of her molars out that were stuck between the new ones. :/ I weighed her today 4.4lbs (YAY) so it is prob time to get on that. I will be there waiting all day I know. I use to work in a clinic... I know it not good to watch your own pet but will be a few doors away.

You are so smart, to wait on the spay so you can do it all at once. I wish I had. I got Mandie spayed at 6 months and then learned (like days later) that I should've just waited until 8 months because then we'd know what teeth were not going to come out on their own.

If she had been bigger... I would have done that same thing I am glad now that I did wait. But know I will be a nervous wreck. I will pray for Mandie (3 months of praying will be good). I'm hoping since they are young they will want to eat after teeth pulling.
