Ruben is my first Yorkie. I have a 13 yr old female schnauzer, Pepper. I thought that Pepper would be good to help me train a new puppy. It was a good decision. I read so many articles in YT before I ever bought a puppy. I brought Ruben home at 14weeks old and he weighed 2.06 lbs. He was so tiny and I was so concerned that I maybe had made a bad choice in getting such a small dog.
That was July, now at the end of October I know that I have been blessed with the best little Yorkie!! I am so in love with him!! Your forums have helped me through so many concerns. Thank you!

Welcome to YT!! Ruben is quite a handsome little man! There is nothing like Yorkies and he will have you absolutely wound tightly around his little paw in a very short time!!! Glad you have been enjoying YT and even happier you have joined!

Ruben will be neutered on Tuesday and some of his baby teeth will have to be pulled. He is almost 7 months old now. I think he probably weighs in a little under 4 lbs. I have cleared my calendar for him! I hope that he won't bother his stitches. I think the collar thing will not be to his liking!

Hello and welcome. Gracie is my first Yorkie as well. I had no idea she would remain so small. She made me so nervous as a puppy. They are lively little things though!

Try a newborn baby onesie instead of the collar it works wonders for them. I am sure Ruben will do great! Keep us posted

Welcome to you and Ruben. He is a cutie. I agree about the onsie, or a soft collar that MomtoHotrod on here sells. Their great to have on hand.

Yes, try the onsie or a soft collar instead of the plastic thing the vets give out. They are very stressful on the neck. Someone here makes soft collars and they are also available other places. A baby onsie can be found at most department stores.
