Is your yorkie a pig or a finicky eater? Charlie is definitely a pig. It's funny when he knows he's going to get a treat or even just lunch he starts licking his chomps and and stares big eyed like nothing else in the world matters. It's so funny! And he's not super picky either. He'll pretty much eat whatever I give him, for the most part. I know many are finicky... Sooo. Is your baby a pig or pickey. LOL :) |
Oh, that sounds so cute! Tibbe is a pig, too. He has demand feeding but sometimes wants me to fix his special food, comes and stands in front of me growling until I ask him if he wants "special food", which means I pour very hot water over his kibble, soak it, whip it with a fork until the smell permeates the house, cool it and put it down for Tibbe. He waits until it is just-right cool and digs in. Then it is time for a treat because he ate dinner! Comes & demands his treat, which I get up & get and then he comes, his blood surger & energy surging, with his dogfood breath and wet mustaches, and kisses me all over my face, wallows all over the couch and kisses me some more. Then, depending upon his mood, he either wants to play really hard with his toys or take a long nap. But he never misses a meal if he can help it and readily eats what's before him with gusto. So I have a little pig, right down to the wallowing. |
my oscar is most definetly a piglet & not picky at all. he would any brand/type of dog food and he would eat a whole cup if i would let him.... |
Tatiana is both. As far as being picky, she only eats home-cooking (she loves Mommy's cooking :)). As far as being a pig, she's an excellent eater. She licks the plate clean. |
Jada is a pig....a big pig. She would eat until her stomach burst, no doubt about it. She sits by the fridge about 90% of each evening demanding her frozen green beans. Bogie isn't picky, but he eats his food and doesn't try to get more. Jada finishes her meals first and I have to stand watch or she will get into Bogie's bowl. |
My mylee is all pig. She enhales her food/treats. She's so bad, I worry about her choking because she literally enhales it. I have to feed her little bits at a time. Moka is not picky at all, begs for her food/treats, but she savors every flavor and chews every piece. LOL She eats like a lady. :D |
Mandie is definitely a piggie when it comes to eating...except HER food. LOL She will eat some pieces (I free feed) and then take some out by her blanket and "squirrel" those away for later. Then, later, she'll go back and eat a little more. But if it's cheese or carrot sticks or anything me or my hubby have...her attitude is "more, more, MORE!" lol |
I remember Benjamin was so picky and hardly wanted to eat. Three kibbles and he was done with his meal. LOL Charlie is so funny. Sometimes I have people watch how he'll start licking his chomps waiting when he knows he going to eat. It cracks me up everytime. I'll have to get a video of it. |
My Daisy is 5 months old and she never stops eating, she was supposed to be a teacup but she is 7 lb already and has a fat tummy |
My two are pigs when it comes to their meals, but when it's new treats they are trying... They are picky. |

Miss Piggy here too. If I let her should would eat everything in the house! |
Rylee Belle is definitely or a least bordering on "Pig". She really enjoys her food. She eats mostly kibble (grain free) but gets the occasional treat of some boiled chicken. When I start boiling the chicken, she knows exactly what I am doing and a swear she barks until it it cooked  She HAS to have her snack before she goes to bed.............so as soon as I say "okay, lets go to bed" she runs to her dish to get her snack. I love my little "piggy"!!!! :D |
Lexie is very picky! Took forever to find food that not only she liked, but agreed with her tender tummy. i sure don't have to worry about her gaining weight. She only eats as much as she's hungry for and leaves the rest. Guess i'd rather have a pig (?) :) It's easier for sure! |
Ella is a picky baby! She turns her nose to a lot of food and treats. Sometimes its even things she normally likes, but she will never deny chicken. :D |
Belle eats her 1/4 cup dry kibble in two seconds flat and then looks around for more. She thinks I should share everything that I eat with her, as well. If I let her eat everything she wanted to eat, she'd be HUGE. She's definitely a little piggy. |
Mine are piggies except Abba Daddy. He is very picky he does not like his food mixed. ( I home cook and use dry kibble too) He really will go hungry, rather than eat mixed food. I can't allow that, because he is small and can't afford to skip meals. I put his food on a plate in neat little piles. Veggies at 12, meat at 6, kibble at 3 and other at 9. I know, I know, he is spoiled. |
My yorkie is a pig and my poodle loves her food but won't eat a frog like my sweet little yorkie. |
picky eater! Waffles has had feeding probs since we got her. Took us 3 months to find a food shed eat. And after seeing reviews about Nutra Ultra im thinking about changing her again :( She really likes this food though. Got her up to her adult yorkiepoo weight. She looks healthy. And shes holding her weight. |
Pao is VERY picky. I have had piggie dogs before and it is definitely so much easier to have piggie dogs. Pao will not eat if it doesn't suit his appetite and then will throw up yellow bile. He is having better appetite on homecooked meals these days but I have to serve his majesty different meats each day and different vegetables and fruits so that he'll eat. He was skinny for the longest time, even the trainer thought we weren't feeding him but when they saw how he ate, they understood...and only lately has he put on 1.5lbs and he look just right. |
Tucker would eat anything and everything! I swear hes part hound! :) however he cant eat much..:( he has a terrible sensitive stomach. |
Gracie was a real finicky eater as a puppy. She is much better now but she has certain rituals that she has about eating. She won't eat out of a bowl and she has to have her food just right before she will eat it. Once I get everything arranged just right she usually walks away from it at first. Then I have to protect it from the cats that would very much like to eat her food. Finally she will eat if I offer her some on a fork. It seems like I have to get her primed. Once she eats one mouthful she is good to finish the meal. She loves her treats but does not beg for them. She knows when she is supposed to get one and waits for it when it is time. I always treat her after a grooming session or after I put her topknot in. When she does certain tricks she gets a treat and when we are working on a new feat she gets a treat when we are done. |
Georgie is finicky so much so that he doesn't eat out of bowls...only hands and clean kitchen towels:rolleyes: He also doesn't eat treats like most furbutts do. My nieces dogs will sit in the kitchen while I make their food....not Georgie he wants to be served LOL |
Toby was really picky until I found Fromm. However he has tried the salmon ala veg and he refused to eat it. He is now on the game bird recipe. I no longer get his food in his bowl and turn to close the container and he has already ate his food, so he has become a piggy. Paisley and Angel are little piggys too. I put their food down go into the kitchen come back and they already have it gone. They are also on the Fromm. |
I have food out for my guys 24/7, and I've done that since their first step in the door. Actually, I keep two kinds, Beneful, which they eat in the mornings, and Welness, which they eat in the evening. Both are available to them full time. There are days when they won't eat over 1 (combined) cup between them, and other days where they almost empty both bowls. Each bowl holds about 2.5 cups. I never push them, they never argue about who eats what, and are given treats as well, with the cheese type being their favorites. They both are quite healthy and in very good shape. This practice of letting them decide such things, has been really easy on me, and I think them, as well. |
It seems since Lexi got spayed, she had been more like a pig. She eats twice a day pretty consistently. But there are days when she just doesn't seem to want to eat. She acts perfectly normal, but just not really interested in eating. She isn't much of a treat eater either. Sometimes she will want a baby carrot, or some pear. But not so many dog treats. But she is five pounds now and the padding the vet wants on her ribs, so I'm not sure if she is a piggie or a birdie?? |
Buddy is definitely a pig. when my family get together on the holidays, you ought to see Buddy. He goes from one to the other begging and they all give him food even when i tell them not to. then after he has had his fill, he goes to his bed to lie down to digest his food. its a sight to behold. |

Actually, I've been in bed upstairs, and he frequently goes downstairs to sleep. And I've herd him "Burp" loud enough for me to hear it. That shot about a half hour of my sleep, I was laughing so hard. :D UMMM, I think it was a Burp ? |
a true pig without a doubt hazel eats as if she is trying to beat the clock, but when it comes to treats she savors the flavor and takes her time lol |
I have two piggies and a bird....Orion at 11.2lbs has always been a pig...wolfs down food like someone is gonna take it from him. Jersey is 41/2 months and is 5lbs...same thing ...like she hasn't eaten in days. Then there is the bird, Raelle...eats four kibbles and she's done...if i dont pick it up the other two fight over it! Kinda funny to watch....she's getting better at eating though...its like she knows if she doesn't eat when I put it down...she runs the risk of losing out on dinner. All three eat their treats like there's no tomorrow though...sitting pretty just waiting for me to give it to them! They all eat Orijen..they do really well on it, so not trying to rock the boat. |
Tinkerbell has always been picky and has a sensitive stomach. She does well on Blue limited ingredient kibble and she likes it, but she never eats it all. I fill her dish in the morning and her standard routine is to go sniff her bowl then go back to bed. Some days she will not finish the full amount. I can free feed Tink and she does not overheat. Isabella on the other hand is a little piglet.. Everytime I walk into the kitchen she thinks she is going to eat and follows me around begging....LOL..she finishes her food in less then 60 seconds... |
