An FYI, WSB TV (the ABC station) in Atlanta is running a promo for a report they are doing Monday about the toxic dogs treats. The reporter is Mike Strickland, I just sent him an email about the Black Friday Boycott.

Petsmart does not have Waggin Train/Canyon Creek treats anymore at least not this past week. Hopefully this is a step forward!

My daughter went to the mall this weekend with a friend they were pulling begging strips and wagin trail something.

New news story about these tainted death traps.
Pet owners wage campaign against Chinese pet treats | www.wsbtv.com

I found someone in Washington who is now doing testing on their own dime who is requesting samples and health records from those affected by these treats. Will keep you updated on what they find if anything!

Zoey will never be gotten!

Interesting article. This quote infuriates me. "The FDA is on record saying, "Pet treats are not necessary, so eliminating them will not harm pets."
Yes treats are not necessary but what has that to do will allowing tainted food products to be sold whether it be pet food or people food. What is wrong is that many people who are not advocates for their Dogs may not be aware of the dangers. They recall other items based on the potential for harm why not these.

I agree with you 1000000%. People don't need a lot of snack foods but companies keep making them and the FDA backs them.

Nestle just had a recall of Nesquick for Possible Salmonella! How does that get into that!? No illness yet they recalled it but hundreds if not thousands of complaints from pet owners and they do nothing :mad: As long as people keep buying from this company they will continue to sell these horrid treats!:thumbdown

I think we live in a world where we are really isolated about what goes on in the food industry as well as many other important issues. Human food is not what it used to be and now our animal foods have become very poor quality. Most people are completely unaware because they think someone is watching out for their pets and those nice friendly labels must mean that someone nice is making the products. There is no regulation in the pet food and pet treat industry. They do not have to list all ingredients, they are self regulated. Meaning they will tell you something if they think it is to their advantage.
