red yorkie ???? has anyone heard of it i found this page http://www.phippyspuppies.com/site/994790/page/497544 |
doesnt look like a yorkie to me..... notice the coat, it is some sort of mix breed....... imagine the people selling these as RARE YORKIES!!! i hope no stupid person actually buys them |
I was just going to say it does not look like a yorkie. It's some type of mix |
I think all these puppies are cute!! Red though? Never been much of a red head. HAs anyone ever purchased from this breeder before? |
They look NOTHING like yorkies to me..I think that breeder is trying to get rid of some mutts he has around..lol.They look more like a maltese mix,but theres not a yorkie in there.I would even go further and say there is a few breeds in there..just like a regular mutt. |
Birth Defect... I believe there was a thread on the red Yorkie's not too long ago?? If I remember correctly I believe the red is a birth defect. Don't quote me on this though, I am only going by memory... |
red yorkies are a cross breed mutt. designer dogs are mutts. if you want a mutt please go buy one from the pound. they will love you forever for it. a spade is a spade no matter what you call it. yes i own a pure breed mutt. just as sweet as my yorkie and bernese. hope no one falls for that. |
YEP, don't look like yorkies to me either =\. Did you see how many breeds they have there? Can you say puppy mill..... |
red?? Looks like an red poodle mixed with a Yorkie..$3500 wow..you can go to the Humane Society and get puppies like that for a song..cute pups though. |
That is not a yorkie. While researching breeders he was one of the first I pegged as a puppymill. Anyone selling that many breeds of dogs has got to be a puppy mill. Unfortunately many people will fall for the rare breed hype and pay for dog they can get at the pound. sue |
:thumbdown yup, they are muts, they are cute doggies, but I can't believe they are trying to sell them for $3500. I bet they don't even know, what time of dog is it. I hope no one buys from them, is the demand from suppose rare puppies that keeps people like this going.. :thumbdown |
i agree before i read any of the posts i checked out the pic and the first thing that popped into my head was, that's not a yorkie atleast not 100% yorkie. why do people try to take advantage of others like this? i've learned so much from this website i think i have to tell someone every day that there is no such thing as a teacup yorkie or a rare yorkie and a good breeder won't jack the price up because the are small. just so i don't offend anyone i know so breeders price them a little higher (due to vet bills, extra care etc) i mean the breeders that sale them for way too much simply b/c they're tiny. |
I just had to go look at the poodles on this guy's site because I used to have a beautiful red poodle. I have to admit I wasn't aware of the red poodles until I got mine - always thought they were black, white or apricot - but this guy has "sable" and "brindle"! Is there even such a thing?? Anyone know anything about poodles? |
did anyone see the discounts for more than one puppy? so many dogs i say puppymill. |
Wow....we better alert people to stay away from breeders like that, puppy mill or not...this breeder does not seem honest and serious! |
That is a really pretty dog. He'll sell too since hes different. I hope he doesn't heave any health problems. I feel sorry for the people who fall for the "rare" yorkie. They themselves are just trying to get something different and pay huge prices for dogs that may have problems. |
I looked at that pic too and all I saw was a Red poodle/Yorkie/Maltese and the list goes on as mixed breed.. Wonder how many fools were born the same minute and will pay bucks for mixed pups? |
pup He is darling..and no doubt a healthy mixed poodle...BUT the problem is $3500. Pet owners can get the same identical pup at most Humane societies and local newspapers for $350. |

Ahhhhhhhh cute little pup!..........but not purebred.......looks very mixed to me.. |
Looks like a pom puppy to me. There are yorkies that are referred to as red legs, and they have more of the reddish gold color and the breeders usually want to breed them into their line to keep the coloring right. I have seen a discussion about that on a couple of lists back about a year or so ago. There is also what is called a choclate yorkie, and that is a mutation. |
Recently , I went to see Yorkshire Terriers on internet and found a site where the Belgium breeder advertise Rare Champagne Yorkie and " New Look " yorkies . The site is : www.yorkshire-denise.be |
Well I think all puppies are cute, I just hope someone does not actuallu get suckered into thinking he is "rare" and buy for that purpose...good grief. |
People shuold never buy from a breeder that has a website that looks like a MENU. :thumbs_do |
I agree it looks like a maltese mix with a yorkie maybe, not much yorkie though! I really think it is a bad idea to mix breed these dogs and try to sell them. The whole purpose is to better the breed, not make money! |
the red yorkie looks like a havanese pup take a look http://www.puppydogweb.com/kennels/havanese_walker.htm |
I absolutely agree with you . Some " so called " breeder will do anything to have $$$$$$$ . |
They look like so many breeds and mixes but the last thing they look like is a purebred Yorkie!! They will be okay as a mutt family pet. AND, I do not consider Mutt a nasty 4 letter word. What I do call a nasty four -letter word(or whatever) is intentionally breeding them and then trying to pass them off as new, rare PUREbreds for mega bucks.. My friend used to say "It's one thing to pee down my back; but, it s a whole nuther thing to try to convince me it's raining!" |
To me, it looks like her maltipoos with a little more apricot. Perhaps bred with a yorkie somewhere or with something that had yorkie in it, but pure yorkie - NO WAY!! I just don't see how anyone that has ever SEEN a yorkie will believe that. I just might have to contact her and question her a little bit about that dog. I would be interested to see how she explains it. Maybe ask to see pics of the parents. Of course, I'm sure she has ways of "explaning" things. It would still be intertaining to see how she gets around things. |
