Halloween 2012 contest?
 
Is there gonna be one this year? Anyone interested? Perhaps we can do one with out prizes this year?

I think one without prizes is a great idea. I think people just love looking at the pictures. Here's some pictures from 3 years ago:

I'm embarrassed to admit we shopped for Tessa & Daisy's costumes in mid August. The girls are ready to do Halloween.

I remember when Joey was dressed up as that spider a few years back!! He had a video and I remember thinking that it was super creepy because he looked like a real spider!!! I was JUST telling a friend about it this past weekend. Anyway, that costume is my favorite:)

I was JUST wondering about the halloween contest. I had seen the old threads! I suppose if we had enough interest and someone to run it, it could happen. And I agree, it's so fun just to look through the pics! We got Luma an outfit...i dont remember if I already posted the pics on Y or not lol.

Thanks, I can't believe how many people say that video scares them, I had no idea how many people hate spiders! Here's that video:

That barking spider video was what got me to come to YT. :) That costume is priceless.

I will ask admin if it's cool if the contest is member run this year. We can have a vote for the favorites. and no prizes, jut bragging rights. Is everyone cool with that?

I didn't had a chance to participate in previous contests but sure will now if there is one!
I do think a prize for the pup would make it more fun, motivating, incentivate. Doesn't has to be expensive. Just my thoughts

Yea but yorkie talk doesnt let members take donations so I would quess that would be for prizes either so I dont know how that could work out. If yorkietalk admins are in charge of the contest they can Ask for donations

I'd love to participate in a Halloween parade this year. We did not get to last year since we had just got KS around Halloween. This year I have plans on making her costume myself and would love to share her with other costumed pups. A prize makes no difference to me. I think just playing along is fun. :)

I have started planning Harley's costume, so hopefully there is at least something we can do... prizes or not, it's still loads of fun.

The prizes did make it more fun, but in the past members have really gotten their feelings hurt after not winning.

He's not scary but the funniest thing you ever saw is Tibbe in his raincoat with the hood over his head! If I want a hysterical laugh, all I need to do is dress him in that & watch him try to walk in it!!! It fits and isn't binding or tight any where but he hates it so bad, he just gives up and goes "cat" - gets all stiff and grumpy, refuses to move, stares daggers at me. He hates me when I put that on him!
