Gerber baby water also worked for us. I tried regular distilled and it didn't do a dang thing for us.... Finding the right food for Taycie also helped as well. But as far as water goes, I have tried other brands, keeping filtered water in my fridge etc.. and her eyes start to run. I have had the the best luck with the Gerber Water! |
Morning Jae Dawn! :) Until we can track some down in the UK - is it worth trying boiled tap water? I always keep a jug in the fridge for our Harry. And we buy all our meat, fish, veggies and fruit from our local farm shop, it's all organic with no 'added extras' ;) - Harry loves it all as much as we do, and I must admit we've never had a problem with staining. What I do do is remove the little brown boogers when they're soft, as soon as I see them - Andy's well trained on this one too, now! :D Sally + Harry x |

If your dog is only having a few boogers, that's no big deal, dogs with problems have major tearing and it's wet all the time. |
You'd have to boil it let the steam get caught on a vapor catch and then drain into a filter...then its distilled as opposed to purified. |
I was just trying to find out what process the Gerber company uses to purify their water. All I could find out is that it is a "multi step" process. While I give Gracie distilled water I usually drink Aquafina bottled water and it does explain it's process online. Does anyone know the process that the Gerber company uses to purify their nursery water? My granddaughter, age 10, keeps telling me to buy my own filter and stop buying bottled water because of all the plastic used. I tell her I recycle, and I do, but she is not satisfied with that answer. I suppose I will eventually buy a water filter if I can find one that can do what I would like it to do. I have a friend that put a water distillation device in their house when they built it. They get it from a separate tap on their kitchen sink. I don't think that is going to happen here though. |

Did not realize that they had under the sink distillers. My friend had a distiller in the cellar that was piped up to the kitchen sink. I'll have to look into the under the sink units. When I went to the Gerber website they said their nursery water was purified by a multi step method but did not identify it as distilled. I know they have at least 2 different types of bottled water that they sell. I'll have to look at the bottles again next time I go to the store. |

Gerber’s says it adds minerals back for taste, that means it removed all of them in one of the earlier steps, then adds a few back, but it still has way less than some tap water. I would think an actual distiller would be a little dangerous. When people were making their own hard liquor from corn, they had to distill the contents, and these stills often blew up. Here’s what a still looks like. If you friend has this in her basement, my guess is she might be making moonshine! :D |

Any friend who makes moonshine is a good friend lol...especially if they don't drink! (Joke) |
