The fact that she listened to your rant and took it in, says she excepts people for who they are and probably sees more than just the surface. Wish we could give thumbs up to posts, I'd of given yours one. |
Many of the people here on YT are informed or getting informed about proper breeding practices for pure bred dogs but the general public is in la la land about it. They see others online and in the classified ads making a bundle on purebred dogs and have no idea of the genetics or the work and expense involved in breeding a quality purebred. Well, how would they know? There is no public place that teaches purebred genetics or breeding principles. People look online and see puppy mill ads that look so deluxe and inviting. They go to the local backyard breeder who tells them they are "expert" in breeding dogs. Of course the dogs are pet quality and carry genes that could make the next generation even further away from what the breed should be in health and looks. So the ignorance continues. I know there are many here that have gotten their pets from places that sell puppy mill stock or from backyard breeders. Some have been the "lucky" ones who got a fairly healthy pup so they see nothing wrong with buying from such people. I hope they stay to read the heartbreaking stories of people who were not so "lucky" and learn why only reputable professionals should take on the breeding of purebred dogs. It's not dog snobbery. It's a matter of treating animals with respect and giving them proper care and producing healthy stock for people to enjoy. |
