We got Zoey BacK!!! The power of facebook! We posted last week but this week I made fliers with a picture and worded a bit differently. Anyway, a hairdresser saw it on one of my sons' friends page and contacted my son. I guess a client had been in telling her about her new dog. The hairdresser told her about Zoey and she said no that wasnt her. The hairdresser asked her to send her a picture and sure enough it was her. My son called the woman, actually the daughter and son were the ones keeping her, the lady groomed her and took her to the vet and didnt want to give her back. my son told her lady Im trying to be nice, I could call animal control, the police and charge you with stealing now that you know we are claiming her. The woman said she would call him back when her dr appt was done. Well she took Zoey to animal control. my dil and I were in our ww meeting and animal control called her. She ended up having to pay for the dog being out, not being spayed and licensed. (she hasnt spayed her because of her size). But no matter what the cost everyone is in 7th heaven at their house. I got a text earlier that said Zoey was running 50 miles an hour all thru the house she was so excited to be home. Not sure if I got all the facts right but I think its pretty close. Thank you facebook, the folks who responded and GOD for getting her home! I know if it were mine Id be so terribly upset. |
Praise the Lord!!!! That is such wonderful news!!! I am so happy for your family and for little Zoey. |
OMG, OMG This is WONDERFUL new's. I am so HAPPY to hear that Zoey if back where she finally belongs. The nerve of those people trying to keep her. What goes around will come around for them. |

Oh Happy Day! What a what a wonderful ending to an already great day! |
Cases like this is exactly why vets should scan all new clients' pets...if she was scanned, her chip info would've raised a red flag no? Very happy ending! |
Yipee! Great happy ending! The nerve of some people!!!!!!! |

ABSOLUTELY!!! IT doesnt cost them a dime to scan the baby....they should ALL BE REQUIRED TO SCAN ANY NEW PATIENT!!! |
Yay!!! Great great great news!!!!! |
WooHoo! Fantastic news! |
I'm glad Zoey is back home where she belongs! I am so angry at the people who where keeping her. Dogs unless being beat would much rather go back to there homes where they are comfortable and loved not to mention how would those people feel if there dog got out or something and someone took them and never gave it back. People are so darn selfish now it drives me nuts this world would be a better place if everyone cared a bit more about each other. I think I would be baking cookies or something to take to and thank the hairdresser. |
So happy for you, zoey and your family. |
I love happy endings. I'm thrilled for you and your family! |
This is GREAT news!! Thank goodness she has been returned :D Hooray! |
Thrilled to hear that she is home where she belongs !!!!! |
Wow. I'm so so happy for you and Zoey!! Unfortunately, there's so many people like that that see a cute/expensive breed dog and take away withouth feelings for the real owner (what they're going through). On 2 different occasions when my Kiko runned outside I spotted individuals stoping their cars on the curb to take him, and as they saw me they just leave in a rush. I think I've been lucky. Keep her safe |
So happy that Zoey is home :) thank the Lord for another blessing |
This is wonderful news! Loved how she was zooming around happy to be home. |
:cheer: Grats! :cheer: Zoey had quite an adventure! :D What surprises me is that the vet the lady took him to didn't scan him. I really thought that vets would automatically scan dogs to check when someone brings in a dog saying they want it checked due to it being a stray they found. I bet she didn't say how she got Zoey...:(. :aimeeyorkI'm going to ask my vet about her scanning procedure when I take Cinders in for her next shots. I really feel they should just do a quick scan on all dogs. It doesn't take more than a second to do, and would reunite families!:aimeeyork |
I am very happy for you and Zoey!!! |
That's awesome! Congratulations!! |
Oh my gosh, this is wonderful news!!! I'm so happy for your Zoey! Amazing how it all came about to bring Zoey home! This is great! |

I have seen it recommended here,at annual exam time, making a scan of the microchip part of the exam. If you happen to know who the vet was that the lady took him to,you might give them a call and remind them how important it is to scan all dogs just to make sure. It doesnt do any of us any good to chip our animals if vets, rescues and the pound aren't gonna scan for a chip. Maybe as time goes by and more people chip their animals it will become more of a habit for them to be scanned. |
