Response from high end yorkies..... I had emailed this outfit, HIGH END YORKIES, about pedigrees for their "high end" dogs....thinking if they are selling these expensive puppies and calling them high end, they would at least have a pedigree to prop it up....actually, I knew better than that...look at thpose puppies...they look like Pekes...totally lost the Yorkie look....obviously NOT breeding to breed standard, but to public demand.... below is my email conversation with them...clearly they are absolutely clueless about anything to do with reputable pedigrees or lines....I forgot to ask if THEY breed the babies and have the parents on site....this Korea thing someone keeps bringing up really bothers me....I had no idea they were a hot item in Korea....anyway, hereis our exchange..... "I was interested in the pedigrees behind your puppies. What lines are you breeding that are producing these tiny, healthy, beautiful babies? Hello Judy , Some are akc registered others are ckc , all depends on which mon and dad we have used at the time of breeding ! We hope this helps I was wanting to know specific lines...like Durrer, Parquin, Wildwier, Stardust, Clarkwyn, etc. That is what I meant by pedigree.....I am looking for high-end dogs, with the high-end pedigrees to back them up! Also, you say ckc registered....Canadian Kennel Club? Thanks again, Sorry we do not have that type of background . We do not breed high pedigree , just high quality looks not competition dogs .Sorry " Says it all, by their own admission!!! |
Looks like they are breeding for "tiny" not healthy. How sad for these pups. :(. I am still in shock over what they charge. |
My friend did ask if the price was firm. The response was that they could not go lower than $8000 for tis quality of dog. Sheesh! Pam |
Sad...so sad! |
Is this the same website you are talking about?: HighEndPuppies - Available HighEnd Puppies So weird. |
Not surprising... I cannot believe what they are charging. |

Those poor puppies look sickly. I hate when they have those big, fake looking eyes. Poor thinhgs. |
I cant beleive how many have been sold :( some dont look real to me. |
This is a link I found about Korea puppy scams: puppy mills Ban Teacup Puppy Traders And another link in Korean: http://jungpuppyclub.com |
Is there anything that can be done? I shudder when I think of my friend almost getting a puppy from there. Pam |
On other post about this site they were saying the pictures were photoshopped but I watched the videos. Not sure you could photoshop those. Pretty sad :(. |
this is so sad its pathetic! |
OMG - they say they "ship by cargo" - I assume that means in the belly of the plane since they contrast that to "nanny service" which probably means someone travels with them in the passenger compartment of a plane. Can you imagine putting a 2 lb pup in cargo - it would be way too cold for a yorkie of any age and size much less a 2 lb pup. They do look like they are part Pek, though - their noses are way too flat to be full-bred yorkies. I wish I hadn't seen this post:( |

Although they are adorable something about their tiny faces looks off...Who in their right mind would 1...want to have such a tiny dog and 2...pay that ridiculous kind of money!!! poor babies...These type of people make me SICK! |
Many people are not educated about what to look for, when getting a puppy. They just respond to a heart tugging, tiny face, with big sad eyes. It is wonderful sites like Yorkie Talk that educate people. We know lttle flat faces with big eyes may mean an open frontal, water on the brain, shallow eye sockets, breathing problems etc. And we know they don't look right. Not at all like a normal, well bred, healthy yorkie pups, should look. |
Only a filthy rich person would but a dog sight unseen. Do not research and spend $8k?? Poor dogs |

I made that mistake, once withbut severe consequennces and oncethe without, abd well may again...my geographic location inhibits quite a bit of purchase choice in some areas. Mayne some can't afford to travel with their entire family to a breeders home so I think its quite the opposite. In fact its cheaper to have a dog flown across the country than drive a few hundred miles... The 8kright part yeah most likely...but yorkies go in my economically depressed area for 3kthe now even in this economy...much of it is about the "jobes" and buyer misinformation |
Oh my! They do look like mixes. I saw this one today Yorkies For Sale, Teacup Yorkies, Teacup yorkie puppies and am wondering where in the h@## do they get their pricing from? Some of these "Yorkies" are $5000 without a registration. The sad thing is that people are keeping them in business! :( |

But its sadly true ppl here pay 3kto gor a purebred with no papers...or you tracel to buy. We used to ship dogs of small breeds from So Cal up here where small breeds are desirable but used to ve a rarity not avalible...program lost funding and volunteers so many went across the boarder to OR to buy at the pet stores or down south to the Bay (SF)... Although I still have a huge maybe selfish desire for a healthy pup from a good breeder I'll most likely only ad rescues in the future. |

No I agrer with you I just wanted to point out why some are in the position of buying from afar. |
Those little dogs look "off" - hardly resemble the hardy little terrier originally bred for killing rats and other small critters in the mills and farms of England. Don't even look like Yorkies except prick ears, some of the coloring. A fall from the bed or couch could likely be severely damaging to a dog that tiny, especially when it is older and more brittle - and perhaps living in the home of someone with a slab foundation. I wonder what the average lifespan of "High End" Yorkies is? And would be interested to know the average vet bill of the owners of those poor little dogs. Bet the breeder wouldn't dare post that information and she must have a pretty good idea of both from the pile of complaints that no doubt rain in. |
I was very surprised that I couldn't find any reviews on them. Hmmmm... Pam |
Whats their health guarentee again or did they do away woth even havibg one when they changed the name... |
Wow! Those prices are outrageous! I agree they do not look like a Yorkie to me either. |
