I use baby or furbaby online only or around my f a m i l y I I call m i n e f u r I I I I |
I call mine Furbutts or Gorkies (Yorkies and Golden) |
I call mine that online. But most of the time I call them my girls. |
I refer to my 4 as the furgirls or furkids, mostly online and in emails, sometimes call them the pupsters. I've never referred to them as daughter, son, or baby, and actually rarely refer to them as dogs. |
We have furbabys around here and I have ALWAYS called my children "people puppys". I dont like the term "skin kids" makes me think of a slasher movie. |
I most often say "the boys," sometimes monsters, doggies, security system, furballs, gremlins, and my babies. Depends on context and audience. |
I refer to Couver and Khloe as "the pups" but don't think I ever call them furkids even online. |
I have never used the word in real life talking just on here. I normally refer to Callie as just my baby or Callie. |
I usually refer to mine as...My boys, The boys, Baby(ies), My little peanuts. |
I use the term furbabies on here occasionally, in real life I usually refer to them in conversation by their name and don't normally use the term dog and just say they are my spoiled babies. |
I use those terms here but in talking to people, I always say "my Yorkie", referring to my dogs. I love the word, the connotation, even just the sound of the word "Yorkie" so I use it every single chance I get in the real world. If I could without it being too confusing, I have and will again consider naming one of my Yorkies "Yorkie"! Such a cute word - I love it. |
My daughter calls our Kipper a ground bat because he flies around the house, faster than the eye can travel! I call him Kippy or Kipper, though. When we had a dairy goat farm, I needed to differentiate between the kids and my children. I was so careful to only use children when referring to my own children, that I began calling the goat kids, goat children! As for furbaby or furbutt, I have decided not to refer to Kipper by that, since he doesn't have fur, but hair and that is one reason we decided to get a Yorkie, since my daughter is allergic to animal fur and is not allergic to the hair on schnauzers, poodles, or Yorkies (these are the only breeds we have tried and have been successful, since I know there are other breeds that should also be "hypoallergenic," I think). I don't mind if someone else wishes to call their dog something like that, although I do cringe when I hear something derogatory, such as stupid or dum dum, etc. |
We call ours, our babies...I do call them furbutts or furkids on here. No matter what I call them, they come running... |
I usually say my babies in person... But I do say furnish a lot too... Both online and in oerson |
Did you say "furnish"? |
