I just pray that this baby will be OK, and go to home that will love her and help her. |
I am sorry she would not go down much lower in price, if she is that hard up for money the poor thing has probably not had much vet care. As much as most of us would like to take in every yorkie or dog in that we did not think was being treated right that's just impossible to do. If you are looking for a slightly older dog then perhaps in time if you put a lot of feelers out through YT you will find just the right one. I am not sure how you left it with the gal, but make sure she knows to contact you or at least a yorkie rescue group if she does not find someone willing to pay that price. |
perhaps if a bunch of inquires and phone calls from Yorkie Talkers posing as buyers were to tell her she was asking to much, she would realize that and give her to a rescue group or lower her price by a lot. |

Meanwhile the poor little dog is sitting in the same sad situation. If she brings her price down lower your gonna get some low life picking her up cheap and treating her cheap. Then the puppy's will have the same problem . Sad |
It's not about the money. I just am not sure if we can handle a dog who could potentially have issues. If I knew without a doubt what she was bred with, I would have her. But, the not knowing anything about her life besides the 2 weeks this lady has had her scares me. My husband and I are going to think about it and decide ASAP. I just wish I could get her off my mind. My heart is breaking, but i worry! |

Maybe you could ask her to come down so she can get spayed if indeed she is preg, and any other vet care she needs.Its so hard to turn our backs to these babies :( I wish you the very best..I dont blame you for your concerns. as i would feel the same, not knowing her history, It would be nice if she provided info about her previous owner. either way i hope this little one finds a wonderful safe home. |
The present owner really needs the money. You could offer less and she\'d probably take it. It\'s an overall sad sad situation. Perhaps you could make an agreement to have her evaluated by your vet before payment? She could even meet you at your vet\'s office with the pup. IMHO, I think this woman probably knows more about the pup than she\'s letting on. It\'s one thing if it were her family pet that got pg and she couldn\'t handle the pup or pregnancy any more. But it\'s very convenient for her to deny any knowledge of the yorkie\'s condition because she got it from some stranger in SC. It may not even be a pregnancy - maybe some other health condition?? Or maybe the pup tied with another very big dog. Who knows? If I purchased her, I\'d take her to my vet and have her immediately spayed. In this situation, that\'s probably the most humane thing to do. Best wishes, Tracey |
Just wanted to update everyone. After talking with her more and more there was something very alarming about her situation. I just don\'t see how she bought the dog and then found out afterwards that she was pregnant. She also couldn\'t give me information about who she bought her from. I was planning on calling and confirming details with the previous owner. We also asked if we could give her payment now and if puppies did come from her and they were healthy to offer her a small supplement from a litter. She denied. Long story short, my husband and I discussed it and decided that we would be best to pass on her even though it broke our hearts. We have young children and are pregnant and the last thing I want to do is bring her into our homes and end up losing her. Thank you ALL SOOOOO much for everything you offered as advice. In the end something wasn\'t right with her story. My heart is hurting, but it was best for my family. |
