My furkids Donating Member | First I am sorry to hear of your loss....Have you tried a yorkie rescue or shelter? and just an FYI....yorkies are yorkies....they are a toy breed...not tiny, mini or micro mini or teacup...they are all toys....several breeders (and I use this term loosely) use these terms as a selling ploy...good luck in your search!

| Why my Dad told me to have 3 dogs I learned the hard way that what my Dad always told me was true. He said the optimum number of dogs is 3. Now we try to always have three. (Lost our oldest, Alice, two weeks ago so we have 2 right now.) Our first 2 were so close that the surviving dog was depressed for 6 months. We did get a puppy (Alice) and she tried so hard to get Ozzy to play with her. Ozzy would have this sad look on her face and would turn her head away from puppy Alice. Alice, my stubborn, strong-willed girl, did not give up. She kept trying to play and finally, Ozzy warmed up to her and they were fast friends from then on. Now they play together at the Rainbow Bridge. Although we want to get another dog for our youngest because our oldest is 11, we are not sure how long to wait. After Alice was struck down so suddenly, I am paranoid that something will happen to Pink (11) and Ziggy (7) will be an only-dog and he is not cut out for that. We called our breeder and she has a 1-year old female she was going to breed but didn't because her tongue sticks out. (She used a word but I can't remember it.) Well, both Ozzy's and Alice's tongues stuck out. Seems like a sign. We are going to see the little baby on Saturday... we'll see what happens. Good luck on your search for another dog. I pray the right dogs end up in the right homes, always.

| There are two YTCA member breeders in Nevada. I know of Barbara Fink. you wont go wrong there. Yorkshire Terrier Club of America About The Club A show breeder will often be looking for a good pet home for a Yorkie they might have kept for show but one reason or another turned out not quite what they are looking for for the show rings so look for a good pet home. They can be anywhere from 1 - 5 years old. Start there. She may know someone else you might have something you are looking for if she doesn't. |

| Jakey123 under the thread "Thinking about options..." is looking to rehome her two yorkies. One is a 4lb girl named Jenny, I think 5 years old, and she looks sooooo adorable! Have a look. |
