| Poisonous Mushroom in your Yard On CBS News, there was just a segment about a dog who ate mushrooms that were growing in the owner's yard. The dog had to spend 10 days in the hospital getting blood transfusions. So be on the lookout for any mushrooms growing in your yard. The dog is OK now. Also, CBS News at 5PM will be telling how to keep your dogs cool this summer. |

| Jaeger got a handful of them when he was a puppy-we spied them at the same time and he got to them first. When I called the emergency vet, they said to make sure he got hydrogen peroxide asap (to make him throw up), and they wanted him to the vets immediately. |

| I'm glad Jaeger was OK after that. There are so many things to be looking for to keep them safe. |

| Man, is the world a dangerous place for our furkids. We all have to be ever vigilant. There are mushrooms that grow in our front yard sometimes after a lot of rain, but for some reason they don't grow in the back (the dogs don't leave our fenced backyard). I will definitely be very watchful for any fungus growing out back for sure, thank you!!!!

| I'm glad Jaeger was okay. Excellent reminder and warning. The mushrooms are terrible here right now and are making it difficult to take the boys walking on 4' leashes. Watching for the poisonous landmines with 2 quick doggies is tough.
