So, are you saying that he peed on the pad (out side) not on the ground? If you really want him to potty out doors than you cant take the pee pad outside with you. The whole idea is that he gets use the the "Grass" which is usually what causes the problem with the pups at such a young age. Have you ever seen a pup tippy toe through the grass. Well thats why! (its different than what they are use to and feels funny on their paws). You should put the poo on the ground where you want him to go regularly! When he peed on the pad outside, he wasn't able to leave his scent behind. Which is the idea behind putting his poo there. Dogs are creatures of habit.... they tend to want to mark what is theirs. Even my three girls will sniff the poo or pee spot from earlier in the day or of the others and will pee right on top of it. So, try on the grass/nature only and see if it helps. Remember to take him to the same spot each time where you left his poo. It wont be anything quick it will take time but he will get it. |

She said it in a nutshell:) Strudel's breeder had pad trained him so when I got him he was like "New mommy....what is this green stuff ( grass)" We went from 45 min outside potty excursions every 2 hours to now - pee and poo in under 5 minutes ANYHERE ANY TIME! Don't stress, your dog can sense it and please have patience, remember even you werent potty trained over night :) Also crating will help if done correctly |
