Barbie as a yorkie name I am helping a friend name her Yorkie. On seveal occassions we have said how much we loved playing with Barbie Dolls as a kid. Now that we are grown women with little female dogs we tend to dress them up like they are our living Barbie Dolls. So I thought that might be a cute name, and since the trend is two names she could be Barbie Doll, so is that too hokey or do you think Barbie is cute. She does not want something common and I really can't think of many Barbies. So what do ya'll think? other suggestions are welcome as well. |
I love it! And if she gets another one who happens to be a boy....she can name him Ken! hehe ;) |

Check out the list of Barbie and Ken's siblings. I am going to have a talk with my Dad I didn't have the entire family and I am not happy about it LOL List of Barbie's friends and family - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia |

Love Barbie as a name - and Ken and Skipper and all of those names we all know so well. |
I think that is cute.. I have a friend who has a pepples and bam bam :) We had bunnies.. Flower and Thumper... |
Cute names... who was Midge? Barbie's BFF? Oh I see! (1963-1966, 1988-) This character was Barbie doll's first female friend, and the third character added to the Barbie product line, after Barbie and Ken. In the Random House novels, her last name is Hadley. After she married Allan/Alan in 1991, she became Midge Hadley Sherwood. Oh and Poindexter? |
Good name, me and my sister had this huge foot locker thing full of Barbies, we played them all the time, hehe |

My daughter's name is Barbara, and we called her "Barbie Doll" as a kid. She has several barbie dolls, and loved them. I think it's a cute name for a little Yorkie. :aimeeyork |
I have a few Barbie's re-issues and an original Ken even now. Love that doll and the whole concept. She's way better than paperdolls. |

Pixie and Roxie's breeder had a yorkie named Barbie. I think it's cute. |
who was Pepper then, my sister who is four years younger still brings up the fact that I got Barbie and she was given a Barbie wannabe who I believe was called Tammy perhaps Pepper was her little sister, does anyone remember those doll. My mom thought she was doing good, giving each of us a differnt doll, but at 50 something my sister still hasn't gotten over it. LOL I will tell her she should have named her yorkie Barbie instead of Lucy |
LOVE the name Barbie Doll! |
I think Barbie is a cute name for a yorkie girl. Holy heck! I didn't realize that Barbie's family was so extensive! Why are there two Todd's? That's just really confusing.... LOL |

I didn't know what Tammy was growing up, she was before my time...but when we were little we had a really old vinyl album that was "Tammy's"...I can still remember the main song "Tammy, she's a doll, she's ideal, she's sweet sixteen." |
I LOVE it, but your friend will have to get a pink corvet bed for her Barbie dog-I can't find them right now but I saw them somewhere online (pink corvet dog beds). |

wow I am so glad I started this thread, lots of Barbie experts on YT. Cool that the miss honey dog is still available, can you post the link how to get it. She told me that Barbie WILL be the dogs name, so glad the thought came to me while in the shower, as soon as I got out of the shower, I wrapped my self in a towel and ran right to the compture to email her my suggestion. |

LOL I also would like it for me, I decided to Goggle it, unfortunately it does not look easy to find, they stopped making it in 07 and I only saw a couple for sale on auction sights for several hundred dollars:(:(. Perhaps we should bombard Mattel with requests to bring Miss Honey back If anyone has found differnt info please let us know |
my mom has kept so many things from when I was a kid sure wish she kept my Barbies, I started playing with them shortly after the doll came out in 1959 I would have be 5 in 1960 and I believe I had them at that age, those dolls are worth a lot of money but LOL i used to like to cut their hair. Because of that my mom bought me a Barbie that had three wigs and her head was bald. I never liked that Barbie and I will always remember the wigs had a really awful smell, does anyone remember that Barbie Doll? |

I used to try to scalp the poor girl daily.....:D Sally + Harry x |
