I did notice that potato went down a couple of notches on the Acana ingredient list. I suppose a dog can develop an allergy to anything but I have heard that peas are a problem for some. I think the major allergies are to meats injected with antibiotics, steroids and hormones along with corn and other grains. I don't know why pet food companies insist on feeding dogs as though they are cows. |
Ya I don't think it is the Potato, It has to be something in the Duck and Pear, maybe the oats or even the duck.. I am not sure- Like I said he was on the Acana Ranchland for a while and had 0 issues! Then it seemed a week or so after switching him on the Duck and Pear he started itching like crazy! He hasnt had the duck and pear for 5 days, it seems like he isnt itching as much- he is def still itchy and still getting his benadryl. I know Theresa with Riley (RileyDC) had some issues with the Duck and Pear as well.... I know she said it took Riley a couple weeks to get back to normal! I am really bummed, I was able to hang my scissor's up and not be a cutter anymore ... LOL Now I am back to cutting  I hope he gets better, I hate druggin him up and seeing him be so unhappy! :( |
oh, i am sure he will be fine . it takes awhile to get out of his system. if it were me i would just stick with the acana ranchlands. hopefully he will feel better soon.. |
