Mine get a bowl of ice chips along with a bowl of water refilled whenever the bowl is empty.

Only Luna likes ice, and I have to pre-chew it for her:rolleyes: Or I hold it and she licks it and tries to gnaw at it. But with her overbite, plus being scared that she'll chip a tooth, it's easier for me to just chew it up a little then give it to her. If I put ice in their water bowl outside (we use bottles inside), she will get them all out with her paws:laugh:

Mine like ice too but it's a sure fire way to crack teeth. Sometimes, I freeze something for a couple of hours - like blueberries and yogurt or pumpkin to make it sorta slushy which they like just as much as the cubes.

Gracie loves ice cubes. I have to make sure I don't leave any cold drinks around where she can get to it because she will start licking the ice cubes.:rolleyes:
I put ice in the water dish on warmer days and sometimes I will just put some partly melted ice in a bowl for her to lick and chew on.

I agree. I always make sure the ice is about half way melted before I give it to her. She likes to lick it until it is small enough to chew.

We only use the ice cubes you buy in a bag (99 cent store) and they are hollow inside. They don't last very long so I am not too concerned about them being a choking hazard.

Brody likes ice chunks, Mia will eat them...a few of them. Brody will come and face me if he hears me crunching the crushed ice pieces. I never give them 'cubes'...it's crushed ice pieces...really small pieces for Mia's tastes, but Brody loves them and will eat somewhat larger pieces.

Oh snap, I thought Ziggy was such a weird little dog for loving ice cubes! He goes crazy for them.. Thank goodness its winter now, so he doesnt ask for them, lol

Yes my Yorkie Fritz loves ice cubes! He plays endlessly until they melt. So cute and funny to watch!

YUM... that sounds excellent! Ginger had some watermelon this morning and LOVED it. Went nuts over it actually! I was making my dd's lunch for camp and training Ginger at the same time! Worked great as a training treat! She kept begging for more! :aimeeyork:p:aimeeyork
