I used to rescue and rehome horses, I've also trained and sold some, and if I ran into the people who bought them I would love to know how they are doing. I don't think I'd bring Mikki, cause it'd confuse her. But I would definitely say hi. If she asks how Mikki is doing show a picture. |
Do what you feel is right. I kept in contact with Brutus' former owner, sent emails and photos until she said she wanted him back. I then broke off communication with her in regards to him. She is one of my clients so eventually I will see her again. Good luck with your decision. |
I rehomed Daisy because my Shanti made her a nervous wreck and I couldn't bare to let her live that way. I was thrilled with the pictures I got of her and still think of her and look at the pictures I have. I wouldn't seek her out, she may feel forced to act like she cared if she doesn't but if I ran into her I would speak, thank her for the love I found in my pup and ask if she wanted to see pics. If not I'd thank her again and leave it at that. |
I would say hello, ask how she is and let her set the tone from there. If she asks about the doggy I would tell her how well she was doing and thank her for letting us have her. Same with pictures if she asks, I'd open my phone and share. I would not take the baby to see her. I have worked with fosters for years. Some people really love their Yorkie and give them up so they can have a better life (often because they can not afford to provide needed care) And some people feel like it was a mistake to get a dog and it is better to forget about it. You will know which kind she is by saying hello. The rest is up to her. |
