Ok, so Harry's been house-trained for well over a year now, and always goes outside on the grass....:thumbup:

I took Harry to Pets at Home yesterday, he was in desperate need (;)!!) of yet another collar.

We drove there, then I walked him round the car park and he did ALL his business (pees and poops) and then we went in :).

We hadn't been in there more than 5 minutes (we'd barely got past the gerbils) and there he was, doing his 'number 2's' - AGAIN! WHY? :eek:

Sugar once made it all of the way through a long flight and refused to go on her potty pad in the family bathroom.

So we waited for our luggage and then exited the airport in Michigan ~ in the winter :snow: ......only for her to run right over to the security guard and squat to pee on his boot!!! :sidesplt: :eek::thumbs up:lol tears:bravo:

YES!!! I thought Sophia was the only crazy one!!! She's completely house-trained, but she can't resist pooping in Petsmart and Petco!!! She always runs to the back of the store and does her business! It drives me nuts!! On the other hand, Brody isn't house trained and he hasn't gone inside Petsmart or Petco!!!

Last time we went to Michigan, Sugar pooped behind my brother's television. He kept telling me he left it there for me to clean up the next time I visited. I was a little bit :eek: because I know my brother and he might actually do this :D

And he MAY have, but they had a 1 year old baby at the time who might have found this tasty little snack :eek: :p

I found out from my Mom that my bro was trying to "borrow" some of Rudy's (dachshund) poop to stick back there for me to clean up when I arrived :sidesplt: (like I wouldn't know the difference :wink: )

Sophie Kate is famous for pooping at the exact wrong time.

Once she stopped in the middle of the road when we crossing and pooped, stopping traffic since the light had changed.

She also went right in the middle of PetSmart when she a puppy, I blame that on nerves and excitement but it is probably just her being a diva.

I've noticed that in some dogs, excitement can trigger either pooping or peeing during it. A lot of times if I am getting ready to go out or he knows someone is about to come over from a telephone conversation I've just had(he eavesdrops!) & Tibbe gets excited, sometimes he has to be taken outside when he starts running around in little circles potty-dancing. We've had to leave the pet store for the same thing. And the vet's office. I, too, wonder where he comes up with more "supply", since he's already had his morning potty session!

Emy always drops one......and for some reason always has another little one on the way to drop, trouble is she keeps moving as she's trying to drop it...on our kitchen floor!! And she won't go on her pee pad, she just keep going over to the welcome mat...Big welcome..LOL...does anyone else's little one ..poop on the fly?????? When she sees me come to get her she takes off, poop hanging and all....:animal-pa

:D Trouble is - Harry didn't do the potty-dance - he just did....what he thought he had to do!!! And it worked! :eek: :D

My daughter Anna's dog Luka always does it there too - so maybe it's where all the others have been, and not cleaned up properly?!!?

Harry also did it in the Garden Centre the other day (outside, fortunately!) - you would never know that he'd 'been'. Poop bag in hand - I bent down and picked it up in one swooping motion, tied it up neatly....and then looked for a bin :)

Unfortunately, there wasn't one, I searched and searched. It was a hot day.....:eek: Somehow, that bag ended up behind a potted plant....:confused: :D Sally + Harry x

It just comes right on out with no potty dance! He must be really excited. Harry may have to wear a nice designer nappy to his social functions or fast first!

And no doubt lack of previous proper cleaning encourages them when they are so excited.

Sammy (my mom's yorkie) never poos in the house but he seems to get scared and have to poo immediately when we would walk into the vets office or petsmart. He was a rescue and is scared of some dogs so we think it was fear related and has he has grown more comfy with people and other dogs and rarely does it inside now. We do walk him around outside until he goes and when he does he normally doesn't inside. The more I think about it Sammy poos at every event we go to. Callie who sense she has been potty trained will absolutely not go potty in the house has once simi recently peed in petsmart. Maybe dogs stores just smell like dog potty lol.

LOL this thread is to funny. I will add to it. We are on vacation, I take Bella out for a potty last night at the motel we're staying at, lots of boats in the parking lot. I take her to the grass she pees, we walk around and then she starts to poop, right on someones extension cord from boat to outlet. I had to drag her off, she was hopping at the same time.

Yes, once. I was taking Tatiana out for a walk in a commercial area. We were walking across a driveway of a BUSY multi-level, parking structure. Cars were constantly coming in, and going out. Finally, cars yielded for us to walk across the driveway, so we walked. In the MIDDLE of the driveway, Tatiana SQUATS AND POOPS. She's a tiny, 3-lbs dog, squatting and pooping in the middle of a busy driveway, with cars WAITING on both sides (to drive out, and come-in). There was an audience on BOTH SIDES. I was beyond embarrassed. I waved in apology. After Tatiana pooped, I picked up the poop with a potty bag, as everybody watched. So embarrassing. After all that, I scooped up Tatiana, and ran out of there.

Oh, dogs! Don't they humble us sometimes?!?!?!

Lol, tears are rolling down my cheeks... It's somewhat a relief to know that Yazmin's not the only public pooper! :eek: She never fails to poop in every Petsmart, Petco, Petsupplies Plus store with no warning! I won't even consider putting her down in the quaint little high-end PetsPajamas store. It's always crowded and I'm afraid she would poop on someone's foot in a heart beat! We never leave home without a poo bag in hand! :thumbup:

lol This is all so funny. The only time Ahi has pooped inconveniently for me is when I was dropping off my youngest dd to school. We were running a little late and was jogging to my dds class to try and make it before the tardy bell rang. In the middle of a hundred kids running to class she tugs back on her leash and we look down to see her in poop position. She then plops one out...I'm looking all around at everyone staring at this "cute" little Yorkie and her mama with no poop bag. I had to dig in my dds backpack, rip a page out of her composition book pick, pick it up and throw it in the garbage can. Lol :D

I also have a wisenhimer when it comes to pooping.....We have a very large yard but "someone" seems to think it's funny to poop on the deck! Anytime I see that tootsie roll laying there, baking in the sun, I know immediately who it was...Jaaaaake! This it not a poop deck!!

And I'd actually used the poop bag in my pocket, for the 'outside one'!!! So there I was, in Pets at Home, pin-pointing in my mind the poop place - and then running, hauling Harry along, to the bit where they keep the bags! :eek: Somebody was actually POINTING at me....:D Sally + Harry x

This thread is too funny :) I thought that it was just Chloe who pooped almost every time we go to petsmart lol. I assumed that it was a combination of excitment and the smell of other dogs past poops. All I can say it thank goodness there are oops stations at Petsmart and that its not just Chloe!

Peek A Boo poops outside all the time. But the poops stick to his hair and don't drop off till he's back in the house! Just can't win!:D

Yes, so embarrassing!

I took him into our local flower/home/garden place and within 5 mins of being in there, he squatted on the floor and pooped. Ugh so embarrasing... of course I picked it up and threw it away but I still felt like people were watching.

He has done it once in a pet store also but that's not as embarrassing to me, since it IS a pet store... haha

Oh yes and he very much enjoys to poo on the cement around my dads pool. :rolleyes: oh well at least it makes it easy to clean up...

Ok. So here's a bit of a story (and a source of contention between me and dh)

I primarily work from home, so the dogs have inherently become my responsibility. Issy is a mere 5 months old and, I'm convinced, about as smart as robbing a police station. Potty training has become a nightmare. In fact, it's the book that nightmares are usually derived from.

So "No No" likes to eat stuff. Anything. Doesn't have to be food. Heck, it doesn't even have to taste good. As long as it's off limits, she'll "hoove" it off the floor, ground, sidewalk...what have you. I should have have named her Hoover. Now imagine if you will, me constantly chasing after her to retrieve whatever it is she's found and you got yourself a new Olympic sport that rivals the physical demands of any triathlon I've ever witnessed. The whole event is much like a track and field event and by the end, I'm usually ready for a nap. I swear, I'm getting old.

Compound that with the idea that she's taken with the notion of shredding the pee pad in micron size pieces. This, of course, only happens when I'm not looking and always after Gabby has used it. It almost feels like she's trying to get rid of evidence of the event ever happening, even though, I've explained that it's perfectly ok to pee "there".

So 2 days ago, I get up in the morning and once again, proceed with what has becomes my daily task of cleaning out, vacuuming up and wiping down the ex pen. I have plastic on the bottom to protect the floor. Initially, the idea was to take it up and toss it when it's reached it's life expectancy. This, of course has grown from once every 2 weeks to several times a day. Somehow, Issy manages to pull up the "floor" and chew on it, which, eliminates the idea of it's protective qualities. Remember when I said it didn't have to be food? Yeah. That.

Now the ex pen is a place I put the girls when I simply cannot be directly on top of them. It's adequately furnished with a bed, bowls, a pee pad and no less than 5 toys that are rotated daily to combat a possibility of boredom. The amount of time they spend in there is never extended beyond a few hours and the occasions are as few as possible.

back to the point...

Later that afternoon, I came through the diningroom to once again discover Hurricane Issy. Again, the pee pad is shredded, the stuffing ripped out of a baby and she's sitting there with a seemingly innocent look on her face as though she had no idea what she did. I might add, she likes to pee next to the pee pad, not on it. So here we go again.... clean out, wipe down, vacuum up. *sigh*

I bring her outside to play. In the space of 30 minutes, "Hoover" has sucked up 7 different things, that I had to retrieve. Leaves, sticks, globs of dirt and god knows what else. I swear I saw her consume at least 3 ants. Honest to god, I do feed this dog an adequate, balanced diet. The ant, I could probably toss into the 'protein' category.

I gotta step out. So I place the dogs in their freshly cleaned (for the second time that day) ex pen, and leave for a few hours. Upon my return, I was met with perhaps the foulest, most heinous mess I've ever witnessed. The pee pad was shredded, the 'floor' chewed, there was poo from one end to the other, upon both dogs bed, the plastic panels of the pen, all 5 toys and poor Gabby was sporting a skunk style streak of poo straight down her spine. In fact, it appeared as though Issy had picked little Gabs up and wiped her butt with her. Issy, once again, sat there with a seemingly innocent look.

So to answer your question...
Yes. Yes she has poo'd in inappropriate places. Oh yes she has!

Someone explain to me what the heck I was thinking when I decided to get another puppy!?

my boy is 10 months( unaltered) and would never mark or number 2 in the house, but the first chance he gets to mark or poop in petsmart...its on. It's like he saves it up just for the occasion. He looks really happy too!
