So is an embarrassment to the yorkie breed?!?! O-M-G! I realized we were low on dog food, so I went to Petsmart to pick up some more with Sophia. I grab the dog food and I see an adorable yorkie sitting in the cart. I walk up to the dog and the owner and compliment her, ask her name, etc. She was groomed perfectly and had an adorable top knot. The owner asks me what kind of "mutt" I have. I said Sophia is a yorkie. She responded with disgust by saying "If she is a yorkie, she's an embarrassment to the yorkie breed" :eek::eek::eek: She continued on before I could get a word in and said that her hair is not smooth as silk, her hairs too short, & she's "fat" :eek:. I was SOOOO pissed, I didn't even know what to say:confused::confused:! I said "just because she's off standard doesn't make her an embarrassment to the breed. She's perfect the way she is." I didn't even end up buying my food. I put it down and left!!! Why are people so rude?!??! |

The woman obviously has poor vision and zero manners. Sophia is clearly a yorkie, a very pretty one at that. Don't give that woman another thought. I don't know what motivates people. Give Sophia a hug from me and my boys and tell her that I think she is a very pretty Yorkie girl. :) |

Oh my gosh! Another Yorkie snob!:eek: Really, I hope the lady was just having an off day. She had no business saying such an awful thing no matter what she is going through though. That is just unkind and heartless. If the woman has a chip on her shoulder about backyard breeders and such she should take it out on them and not on a pet owner and her beloved little dog in the pet food department!:mad: |

OMG!!! I would have probably been arrested!! How in the world could she say something like that about Sophia?? Sophia is gorgeous and 100% yorkie...Consider the source the BI@tch was probably a snob and very unclassy IMO!!! I feel sorry for her little yorkie as it is probably just a status symbol for her:( |

I'm sorry you ran into someone who definitely has such bad manners, someone who is terribly rude, and someone who needs glasses to see what a beautiful girl Sophia is. I think you and Sophia should go back, hold your heads up high, pick up her doggie food, and have a nice rest of the day. Forget about her. The human race is becoming a disgrace. |
Aww...that is sooo not true! Sophie is gorgeous and all yorkie:thumbup: What a nasty butt head that lady was....don't give her another thought! So glad..it wasn't me she was so ignorant to...it would have been ugly:D Zhoie sends lots of kisses to beautiful Sophie! |
That is really sad and ridiculous.... i am sorry that you had to deal with such an ignorant person.... don't let her harsh words make you doubt how wonderful your little Sophia is. I do believe that there are definitely some "Yorkie Snobs" out there thinking that their dog is the only perfect Yorkie... LOL! just remember to "beat them.... not JOIN them"!!! .... A good reminder to all of our Yt'er friends! |
