I love that bag! It doesn't look much different than the KB. Are the sides sturdier? Does it hold it's shape better when being carried aroung? (I'm trying to avoid that collapsed thing that happens with the Alex)

I absolutely love it, along with that the owner, Jamie, was the most helpful person I have ever dealt with when it comes to ordering online. She responded immediately when I sent her an email, even though it was on Sunday and got my bag out the very next day. I highly recommend the bag and Jamie to anyone considering a new bag. No it isn't cheap, but then again not much is when it comes to my Zoe.

I do have the Kwigy Bo as well and I have liked it well for quick errands, but I do feel like it squishes my baby too much, even though she is only a little over 4#, the sides squish in and there is no bottom support. Don't get me wrong I still like that bag and will use it, but when I started thinking about flying in the KB I just didn't feel like there was enough air flow or stability with that bag. The Charlie takes care of that issue and is very well made!

Meant to quote you.

Never mind. I just saw she only makes small carriers and they're way out of my price range. I think Kaji and I will be buying an Alex Luxe in our near future.

If I win the lottery I will buy one. But not before then. :)

Thanks for the tip :) I recently purchased a carrier from GlamourDog which I hate - cheap...cheap...cheap :( It was on sale & they claim the original price was $110. There's NO WAY anyone would pay $110 for that piece of junk. I went ahead & got a LV Sac Chien 40. Although it screams doggie, I'm sure it's made well & hopefully it will last forever.

I realize they are expansive, but if you ever do win e lottery, yes the sides don't squish in on her which is what made me get it. I still like my KB for errands, and will still use it,but like Jamie said I believe there are different bags for different purposes. I take Zoe with me everywhere I go, literally so I will use this one when she has to be in it longer. She is more comfortable in it. It has a nice thick cushion in the bottom and she will have air flow around her because the side don't cave in on her. And while she doesn't hate her KB, I put her in it and she never makes a peep, she has never just hopped in. This one she hopped right in to investigate when I put it on the floor. I think I am going to run an errand today, not because I have to, but because I want to try it:). My errand is to buy her an electric toothbrush:)

Let me know how it goes! I'm still curious. :) I take Kaji with me everywhere as well. The only big disappointment with your new cute bag for me is that it is only made for up to 4 lbs. :( Kaji's twice that! He'll break the bag. :p

The bag looks really nice and "discreet".

I couldnt help a heart warming chuckle when I saw your Zoe in the bag. She's so adorable. :D:D

I bought a beautiful handmade floral bag off Etsy for Zachary and it is so soft and nice. Mesh ends and quilted fabric for the rest. But here in Houston, as I quickly discovered, it is just too hot. Even in the a/c truck and stores, it is just too confining. He got sick, diarrhea, part from trying to transition to new food (we went very slowly but he has a VERY sensitive tummy) and I think part was the heat.

So yesterday I ordered another carrier (does anyone else have multiples because the ones you bought didn't work out???) I wanted a nice looking bag that doesn't look like a dog carrier but will give him some decent ventilation. I plan on sneaking him in "here and there" so I wanta pursy looking bag.

Did anyone think of having a special thread for selling/trading carriers that didn't work out or isn't that allowed? By the time summer is over here in Houston and it cools down a bit, I doubt if Zachary will fit in his cute little floral carrier anymore.....!!

Louise

We sneak our yorkies here and there too when we bring them with us, which is as often as possible. hehe.. Im also looking for a pursy looking bag although so far, no one's really realizes right away that they're real puppies in the bag. The reaction I usually get is people thought they're small stuffed toys... until they move their eyes or tilt their head. hehehe.. I get a laugh seeing people's surprise. LOL :D

Zachary was out today in his cute little floral carrier again today and for the second time in as many trips, he started with the drooling (nerves?) and had the poops. I want to take this little guy with me everywhere but if he doesn't stop the mess, I won't be able to.

I DO have a new carrier ordered, bigger and with a LOT more ventilation. The floral quilted one I have now has a solid bottom but squishes in on him and only is ventilated on the ends.

Any suggestions how to get him more comfortable with being carried in a carrier if the larger more ventilated one doesn't work???

Thanks,
Louise

 I thought she got the Charlie, and that one will hold up to 7 lbs.

eta - I've been eying this bag for a while. It's been in my cart and out of my cart. Ugh, do I really need it???

How about putting a diaper on Zachary when you bring him along? It will not stop his pooping, but it will make cleaning up a lot easier. At least until he feel comfortable being carried around in his bag. His drooling is very likely bec of anxiety. First times I brought Mollie along, and she's not relaxed in her bag, I'd either put my hand against the mesh so her nose touches my hand or I slip my hand inside the bag and rub her head or tummy until she calms down. :)

Yes I did get the Charlie and they are for up to 7#, although I think it has more to do with the height and length than the pounds. My Zoe is currently 4.5# and she fits perfectly. She can't stand up with it zipped, her head is too tall, bit then again she never stands up when I take her. It also has a very thick pad in the bottom which you could take out if you wanted more height. If you have any question contact them, Jamie is wonderful and is not high pressure at all. Her goal is for you to be perfectly happy with the bag.

I love the look of that bag. And you hit it spot on with the description. I don't like how it sags in too...looks like her space is caving in on her. I will look into the bag you got Zoe. :) Thank you for sharing! :D

Oh and I see she is just like Ahi...chewing on the zipper part already. hehe Zoe is adorable!

Ahis_Mama 06-08-2012 11:22 AM

Oh and how heavy is Zoe? You think the Charlie would be too big for a 3lbs. 14oz. Ahi? I like my bags to also look inconspicuous do you think this one is? Thanks! :D

My Zoe is 4.2# when I weighed her about 1 week ago. I don't think this one is quite as inconspicuous as the KB, but I really like how it doesn't cave in on her. I take Zoe to the mall with me in the KB all the time and no one ever has any idea she is with me. This one reminds me a little more of a very small duffel bag, but I still think it just looks like a big purse, and I think I can pull it off without anyone knowing. I am going to run to Walgreens with her tonight so I will see if I get noticed. When you zip it up all the way it still has small mesh slots at the ends that no one can see. I like that and I still think I can pull it off without anyone noticing.
