I'm in the Midwest and I just paid almost $900.00 to have both of my girls' teeth cleaned with a certified canine dentist. Megan had a tiny tooth that never formed right that had to be extracted and Maddie Jo had a molar that was crooked and crowding the one next to it so it was removed, they each had pre-op bloodwork and regular teeth cleaning, polishing and protectant gel applied. |
|
Emma had 14 baby teeth pulled last month - it cost $136 and that included a BUN and Creatine test. |
|
 Yogi's teeth were just cleaned $80.00 |
|
Maggie just had her teeth cleaned $400 which included pre-op blood work. |

That's a great $$$$ so I will post tomorrow what exactly the price and might shop around for distance vet this summer with camping trip lol |

A dental is $90 where I live. During spay/neuter surgery for a couple of our pets, they still had baby teeth. Our vet pulled all of those and we were not charged a dime since she did it during their surgery! |
|
Faith had 14 baby teeth pulled at the time of her spay and it was $3 per tooth. |

Feb is dental month at our vet. It's about 140 with blood work. Otherwise 160 or 170. |

Georgie had a dental a couple of weeks ago. He had 8 teeth extracted, blood work done prior and the cost was $400. I live in Maryland between DC and Baltimore which its pretty expensive here. I do think $1500 is extremely high even for our area. The cost for extractions was $5 per tooth. |

Prices do vary according to what type of location you are in and how established the vet is. You need to consider the price but also get references about the vet. The prices do not necessarily reflect the skill of the doctor. |

It was a total of: $303.88 right here, in DC. I was a bit upset to say the least because they did not pull them when he got neutered and I let them know that. They said that they usually do.... I was sooo nervous for him to be put under, again, but everything was fine. We do not go to that vet any longer... that is just one reason why. |

I will wait for little while for teeth... she is still loosing teeth in house and I've been collecting her baby teeth :) lol spay and extraction for $400 is not bad at all. spay was total $630 (if we didn't have a wellness plan) plus extra $650 top of that price... Our area is very $$$$$ now I do more realized.... :( |
|
I'm in DC, and I was quoted a price of $500-800 for cleaning and extractions. I just got a call from the vet, mid-procedure, while the dog was still under, stating that it was worse than they expected and they were having to extract more. The new estimate was $1500. How should I react to this? |

I had Sophie Kate's dental done in July 2012, the total cost was $347.14 with no extractions (proud Mom moment). Scaling was $64.80, Panel was $64.80 and OraVet sealant was $22.00 , rest of the costs were anesthetic, recovery and all those things that go along with surgery. |
|
Callie just had a tooth pulled and they cleaned them too and it was $549. They also had to use stitches. |

I've use two different vets for three different puppies in the past few years and neither of them charged me. They removed baby teeth when the puppies were neutered or spayed. (Chicago Southside) |
