I don't know if you can tell in my avtar how big Kayla's ears are, but, they are huge. lol!!! I let the hair grow out over them and she looks like she has 2 giant pig tails. |

2 Attachment(s) The first pic is Peek a Boo at 5 years old, the first year I got him and began to let his coat grow out. Pay special attention to the ears, lol. The 2nd pic is Peek at 10 years old, in full coat. I trim the top half, sometimes just the top third of ear ear, front and back, and let the rest grow and blend in with the hair on his neck, minimizing the actual size of his ears. In this pic I also left a longer tip on the ears. I read about doing this in one of my Yorkie books, it's supposed to give a more natural look and mimics some animals in the wild...lol. Funny! :) I was always wondering the same! My Ozzy`s ears are quite big as well! But they are not standing up (he is only 5 month), so you can not see that. Only when he is outside and wind blows in his ears...or he looks up to me with his cute eyes when I am eating something :D But I think it looks so cute and funny! Actually, do you know when they suppose to stand up? My vet said I can forget about it - they may never do...:confused: |

I tell Scarlett she has wombat ears! Actually, when she was younger, in my avi, her ears were huge! She grew into them though, lol!! |

2 Attachment(s) My now passed girl Matese had HUGE beautiful ears, she was a big girl, adult weight was 17 lbs. I was had groomer leave fringes on her ears to reduce the appearance which fitted her face. I LOVED those ears. My adopted boy has BIG beautiful ears, is also is a bigger boy at 12 Lbs. also have groomer leave fringes on them so they fit his face the first pic is of Matese who is now passed the 2nd is Cody my 12 lb boy now them's are big ears lol and I LOVE them. |
bat ears So glad to read that big ears are "in" lol. I love my girl's big ears and yes, I am going to leave her hair on them long, but she is so gorgeous. When she gets a surprise or is interested in something, they stand up so straight and large. However, she is teething and on some days they go down. My other one has normal ears and she is a year and a little bit old. Both dreamboats. |
