I just never thought about sunscreen for a dog since they have hair. I would also do anything for my dog. I have just never thought about sunscreen for a pet with hair. I can really see where it would be useful for those little hairless dogs though. |

I still get burnt on my head in the summer and I have hair. Why would it be any different for dogs? |

We had a white cat called Lottie that actually got sunburned on her ears, we had no idea this could happen.... I ended up putting Clinique sun-block on them - but it was too late :( She ended up having to have both ears removed and she looked like a little owl....it could so easily have been prevented, so please beware. I was actually about to post the same question!! Thank you for posting it and to the informative replies! |
I read on this thread that epi-pet was a good sun protection for our dogs. I ordered it on line and it was very pricey!! I am very upset that I bought it...It makes Brandy's coat so greasy.. I am not sure why it was recommended for Yorkies??? |

I was thinking about sunscreen last night, were you sneakily reading my mind, because I sprayed it on myself before taking them for a walk last night and thought hmmm what about the boys? |
