| Petland birthday parties This might be old news but tonight I seen a comercial for it and its the first i've heard they do birthday parties. This just blows my mind.. I don't even know what to say "Petland’s puppies and kittens can take center stage at your next bash. A good option for any age group, Petland staff bring between six and ten of their pets currently available for adoption including kittens, puppies, birds, reptiles, hamsters and rabbits. The animal handler will discuss pet care and the children have the opportunity to touch, pet or cuddle the animals. Parties cost $125 for up to eight children. Weekends book up quickly so call several weeks in advance or even better, book a weekday after school party."

| I went to the link and was not able to see were they are offering birthday parties BUT what I did find was a link that PETLAND donated a puppy to Make A Wish! I Make A Wish a nice email stating until they no longer have a relationship with Petland that I will no longer donate to their charity! I am appauled that Make A Wish would accept a puppy from that filthy place and hand it over to a child suffering from a life threatening illness!!!!! Can you even imagine how traumatizing it would be if one of these puppies were to have medical issues or worse! WTH!!!!! As for the birthday party at a Petland those people need to all be shut down! My head is ready to EXPLODE! http://www.petland.com/PetlandNews/P...s-040309-1.htm

| About Petland :: Pets Make Life Better! Not only does Make A Wish have a relationship with them but St Jude does as well! I am beyond disgusted at this point! Looks like I will also be sending an email to St. Jude as well. I have to say that both of these charities are wonderful for many very sick children but to have an affiliation with Petland!

What if a puppy that was meant to bring joy to a child, suddenly dies??? How heartbreaking!!! I just made myself sad.

I have been a private nurse for Make a Wish twice..both times i went to disney with families. Make a Wish was wonderful , but I CANT believe they are doing this!!!??? WHYYYYYYY would they want to give a sick kid a puppymill furbaby?? I'm so sad over this. I'm going to have to send them a little email.

| I really don't even know what to say. No matter how many stories that are broadcasted on the news about where these puppies come from and how tons of them are dying, people are still going and buying from them. I didn't even know about the charities being involved with them as well. I just...I'm speechless. |
