Ok...I couldn't remember what number attatchment I used last time on the clippers...I guessed wrong and cut Copper really short this time. It is very warm here in Southern California so I'm sure he will be fine.

What do you think? Cute or way over the top short?

Very cute !!! They did a good job on the face.

Short...well, maybe...but def a cutie. Good job, Mommy! Time to put a note about what you clipped him with in the case with your clippers...for next time! :p:D

I'm not sure how young others start with the groomer, but since I was the one that was going to be doing the cutting...I started when Copper was about 16 weeks old. A little clip here and a little trim there. I don't use pointed scissors and I am extremely careful around the face. Copper is 2 now and he does pretty well. My clipping sessions are fairly short. I only use the clippers on his back where the hair is long and thick. I do the rest with scissors. Oh, I do use a small clipper on his ears. I started doing that after he came home with me at 11 weeks to help his ears stand up.

Aw...very cute. I shave Zhoie's back too with a 7F blade, only difference is I leave her head, face and legs long.

He looks adorable and he will love his summer cut for sure:thumbup:

Well, I love it. I'm a fan of short cuts. We have very hot weather in the summer, too. I think he looks very cute and comfy.:)

I love Copper's haircut, and great job there mommy! I've been growing out Romeo's hair but thinking I may have to break down and cut soon as it will get hot and humid in a couple weeks.

I love it and how adorable!! I kept my two in full coats until last year. I do the grooming myself too and keep them shaved except for legs and face. You do a great job grooming:)

Miles literally screamed "bloody murder" so loud it startled me when I tried to squeeze his little paw to try to clip. I don't think I was hurting him #drama as I hadn't even use the doggie clippers yet.

Maybe I will try it again with my ear plugs in. I don't want to hear that again except I don't think the plugs will work ;'(

You did a great job! Cooper looks very handsome. I love short cuts for summer time. I just shaved Khloe down without a guard and her hair is so short! You have to remember, it's just hair... and it will grow back, so if you cut it too short, it's not a huge deal :)

I've always heard that you should massage their feet so that they get used to you handling their feet. It just didn't work for me.:(

Thanks all for your nice comments. My husband came home and loved it. We think Copper looks cute. His fur is so soft now that his cut is short. I did have a moment of panic when I realized I had used the closer cutting attachment, which was my reason for the posting.

He does well when I clip him, but clipping his nails is a whole other subject. We just keep working at it. Sometimes hubby helps. Copper is not a willing participant!!!:(:animal36
