I havnt been on here in so long, but today I had a phone call telling me that my Lily has died! She has always been at the vets office for her reg. checkups and then one day she just had a seizure at home. She was rushed tp the vet they said she was fine and to pick her up at 6pm. Then a call was received an hour later saying she had past away! How could this happen! What could of happened to my puppy! Only 3 years old. We are having an autopsy done from Cornell University. Has anyone ever expeirienced something like this before? Someone please write back ASAP!!!
IT DOSNT MAKE SENSE! She has always been fine, wouldnt the vet detect that she had something wrong with her on one of her visits? That day they said her white blood count was 15,000 its suppose to be 5,000 then they said she had some type of disease. What I am upset about is that nobody has ever said anything to me about this at all when she went to any of her reg visits to the vet. Then one day we just find this out? Once we found out I will let all of you know

I am so terribly sorry this happened to you. I don't have any advise. My mom's dog recently died of liver cancer and her white blood cells spiked like that too because the tumor had burst. She didn't show any symptoms of a problem til it was too late. Hopefully you'll find out what really happened. I'm sure your vet did all he could.

Im so sorry for your loss. My deepest sympathies. RIP in Little Lily.
I dont know what to say regarding her passing like this. Please let us know what they find out on the autopsy. We are here for you.

This is such heartbreaking news. I'm so sorry for you and your baby. My prayers are with you. I lost my little princess Katie Lyn 3 weeks ago. I bet our dogs are playing together at the Rainbow Bridge right now and waiting for us. Again, I'm so very sorry for your loss.

I'm so very, very sorry. I can imagine how devastated you must feel right now. I know it doesn't make sense and how suddenly this happened has knocked you for a loop. The only thing I know is that increased levels indicate bacterial infection, emotional upsets and blood disorders. The autopsy should provide the answers you are so desperately needing right now, but I know it won't make it any easier for you to accept. Please know that she is waiting for you at Rainbow Bridge and won't be sick again ever. I have one there as well. Someday we'll meet there and cross that bridge together. :(

OMG I AM SO SO SORRY !!! Oh man - I don't have words for you - I just want to tell you how very sorry I am to hear this about your Lily - three is far too young and my heart goes out to you during this time.

I hope you find the answers you need.... but it won't help your pain.... and for that I am very sorry. Bless her little heart - this must be just awful for you

:confused: OMG .. I dont know what t say in a situation like this... I am sorry for your little lily :( ... I hope the ecropsy explains something ... The vet should have picked up on something ? Once again i am sorry you are in my prayers

Oh my God...I'm so sorry to hear about your precious baby girl. I DEFINITELY hope you get the answers as to why this happened. I know it won't ease your pain but you at least deserve that. We lost our baby November 25th, so my heart just breaks with yours. 3 years old is entirely too young. :( You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. God Bless little Lily.

I am so sorry to hear about little Lily...3 yrs old is definitely too young. I hope you get the answers that you're looking for so that you can have some closure. Remember that Lily is waiting for you at the rainbow bridge playing and watching over you.

I'm so sorry! It had to be some internal infection of some kind. I'm thinking intestinal or uterine if she wasn't spayed. It doesn't matter really - they can't talk, and our vets do an exam, but they can't do a complete workup each visit - I just feel for you so much. Let us know if you find out, it may save another baby somewhere. There is nothing you could have done though. My Sabrina had a uterine infection and her life was only saved because at the very last minute before another minor surgery I decided to go ahead and have her spayed. The Dr said she would have died in a week from the internal infection and we would never have known. Such a close call. I hope you find something out just to ease your mind. How horrible for you! I am so sorry to hear about poor Lily's passing. I hope that you can hold on to your dear memories of your little sweetie, and they will bring you some comfort at this difficult time.

OH i am so sorry you lost your darling little yorkie. Its so sad to loose a LOVED ONE.
I am tearing up as i write cause i can't imagine how sad you must be. I lost a baby years ago and it was sudden and a unknown illness. I was a mess for a year. I hope you can find some comfort in remembering her smiles and happiness she must have given you daily. BIG YORKIE HUGS to you from all of us at Delightful Yorkies.

I am so sorry about your loss. I can't even imagine. I do think though that if vets don't have a certain responce for things or don't know whats going on they should refer paintients elsewhere instead of giving maybes. I hate when I go and they tell me "well you know know it maybe that" i don't settle for this and it irritates me. I am sorry. I wish I had an answer for what when wrong but I don't. I am with you. :boy_hug:

You're baby in this picture is so breathtaking. i can't imagine how awful and painful it must have been to loose her. Just looking at her gives a feeling i just can't describe. :thumbup:

Thankyou to all of you out there! It is very depressing to think about it and everyone says that shes in a better place now but the thing is she was in the best place of all. I feel more terrible for Chris though because she lived with him. She was his bestest friend ever. She slept with him and he would even bring her with him to work!
