Just wanted to let you all know just in case you may be a little confused...Rio had 5 babies total. We lost a little boy and a little girl. We have 2 girls and 1 boy now who are 4 weeks old and doing wonderful!! :D :D :D Courtney had a litter 1 week before Rio did. When Rio passed away 3 days after her babies were born, My sweet Courtney took the babies in as her own and fed and nutured them. It has truly been a miracle for me to watch this and be a part of this. I miss my girl terribly and probably always will. She was a SPECIAL yorkie who came to live with me and my family all the way from Sao Paulo, Brazil, hence the name "Rio" was born...
She was my heart. I became really good friends with her breeder, Karenene very early on when Rio was a baby. I hope to travel to her city in Brazil in late 2006-early 2007 and visit with her and her yorkies (Rio's family :) ) and to maybe bring another baby home with me.

My girl Rio touched my heart in a place it's never been touched, and she made every day a joy in my life. I love all of my precious yorkies, but Rio had a personality that was almost "human like". We are seeing this start to repeat itself in her daughter "Bridgit". Rio wasn't perfect, but she sure was perfect in my eyes! :rose: This is her..."just being a yorkie" and "posing for me!"

Im so happy that you have decided to keep two of the babies. Rio was a very special girl. She was beautiful. She will always be with you on her babies.The pups are so beautiful.

You are such a special person. Through this tradedy, you have really touched my heart and I'm sure many others. Thank you for sharing like this and letting all of us in on something that is so hard on you. I can only say Thank you again and keep us updated on those beautiful babies! :rose: this is for you Rio!

And Melissa, I was wondering where you were! I also just saw the email in my inbox. I'm so glad you like the scarf for Sophie that my mom made! I would love to get Sophie girl in my arms again...She has Rio's eyes too! Sophie, Bridgit and Patton were such a joy to have and raise. I miss brother and sister to this day. I'm not joking when I say that that first litter of Rio's was the most fun I think I've ever had! All three of those babies were stunning, and so funny to watch! I made those videos on my camera that time of them if you remember...and Rio is in two of them watching them do their hop hop across the floor. I watched them over the weekend and I actually did not cry, I laughed! Give Sophie a big hug from me! Wish I knew what General Patton was up to lately...Hopefully Maria will update me sometime soon; I sure do love to know how my babies are doing.

I have some new pics of these new cuties to post this evening...I know Judi is anxiously awaiting some new one's of Blush...Hang in there Judi, you're gonna love these!

Look at these babies...this is "River" and "Skye" ( male, female; 2 of Rio's babies) in my daughter's carrier for her yorkie. They are so precious...Rio would be proud. I know I am! (little girl # 3 wouldn't fit...this is a carrier for a "stuffed yorkie toy" LOL)

Robbie, I am just loving your thread. Your little ones are just adorable and it's great to see how far they've come. It gives me hope for my little girl. I think I will take your advice and start a little thread for Maddie and her precious little girl she left me. I'm going to see the little one on Saturday and I'll be sure to take my camera.

That is the best thing I've heard all day! I'm so glad. Can't wait to see her! Hope you are doing ok...give that little one a kiss from me when you go out on Saturday.
