I actually think they are going to miss us tonight. They are saying we will be hit tomorrow. But girlfriend, Kansas is in the path for tonight. I know because my daddy is there. I wanted him to come home but he isn't very scared of storms. :(:( We will be praying you all are safe. Do you have a shelter?

Ginger looks like a sweetheart! Our neighbor rescued a beagle a few years ago and it is so heartwarming to see her doing so well in good care. She was like Ginger, so skinny. :( Now she has filled out and has a super shiny coat. :)

Oh, yes! Basement. We're ready to head there, but I'm just 3 miles from the MO state line, so it probably won't be here until 11-12 tonight? I don't really know and neither do the forecasters. It's a wait and see. I'm just 60 miles from Joplin.

We have a big owl too. They are so neat, but deadly.

DH says I have made Ginger fat! :eek: But she isn't fat. She is just fatter. :p She sure loves her new home. When DH got her she was eating leaves and dirt. :(:( It was awful! When I got her I gave her some of Rosie's home cooked food and vitamins. I think it really helped her because she was in such bad shape. She had started loosing hair too. It was just a horrible site. But she is much better now!

We had a Beagle named Charlie that we rescued when we lived at our other house. He had been abused. :(:( I took him in as my baby. He was one of the best dogs we ever had.

I am so glad your neighbor rescued! They are really wonderful dogs!!

She is a sweetie. My old boss rescued a little beagle. He's the sweetest little guy and just adores his adoptive family, because they are so good to him.

Oh, yuck!!! I am soooo scared of snakes! Ticks and fleas I can deal with but snakes?!?!

I am glad you have a safe place to go!! My dad is in Arcadia Kansas. Is that anywhere close to you? I think he is on the border too?

I really didn't know they came that big. We've had the smaller owls before.

I didn't remember to tell you that we were out in her fenced yard one night and I couldn't see what it was, but I heard something running through the south part of the yard and it was running really fast. It was too dark to see that far. Scared me to death!

He's just a few miles from me. Fort Scott. Arcadia is just a few miles down the road in the next county!:)

Poor Charlie. Our neighbor's beagle was abused too, but she has really come out of her shell and trusts people now. It unbearable to think about. :(

That would have scared me to death too. This is why I don't like going out in our yard after dark. It is really dark here and who knows what is lurking.
