Be Honest, How Many? Ok, now. Let's be completely honest here. How many Yorkies would you have in your house if you could? :D:D I would have three or four I think. I could really see me having numerous! :D But DH says no more than 2 for us. :( But I see more when I retire!! :p:rolleyes:;) Just don't tell him! :mtongue: |
If money were no object, I would have dozens:laugh: With a full-time staff to do all the grooming, cleaning, and icky stuff. I would just play and love all day long! I'd probably have a few other toy breeds too, love Chihuahuas, Maltese, and Poodles too. I'm dying for a little male, black toy poodle but can't do it right now. |
I really loved having 2, and I really love having 3 now. I'm not sure we'd want more than that...bc I'd prob start to wonder if I was being spread to thin or something, with loving them all up enough. But who knows? They're so lovable, so who can resist? |
With a 4 year old skin child, Georgie and our Boxer Coco I am maxed out LOL. When my son gets older I would like another Yorkie and Boxer:D So i guess that means 2 Yorkies, 2 Boxers and a skin child:thumbup: |
Hmm, I would probably have 3!! |
I would get Ella a sister and have 2... I realllllly want to:( but DH says no.. But then again he said no to Ella too at first and now he's wrapped around her paw!!! |
I honestly could see myself with no more than 3 and that is after retirement. Two is my limit for now. I would be afraid I couldn't keep up with the care of 3 and give them the attention like I do for my 2 right now. |
Maybe two but I like having one! I may get another breed dog though. |
I have 2yorkies, 2staffies and 1 of a pair of yorkie/border terrier crosses so 5 in total. I would have more in a heart beat but me DH would leave I think. |
Now I have one pekingese and one yorkie, would love another yorkie but not really a puppy but a rescue..Dh says I have my hands full now and he is probably right but the want is still there. |
I would want 4 or 5 :) |
I'd like to get another from the same parents next year, but I've beem told no :( But we'll see what happens when I come home with a new baby girl ;) |
Oh i would definetly have at least two more yorkies if i could.. |
I think I would want just a boy and a girl, but always have a boy and a girl yorkie til the day I die. :D |
Right now I have 1 Yorkie, 3 IGs, and 2 Afghan Hounds. I'm also fostering a toy poodle until we find her forever home. Yes, 7 dogs! But it's actually not hard at all - but half of them being "wash and go" helps, so I only have the Afghans and my Yorkie that need slot of grooming. The poodle we keep in a short clip, so she's basically wash and wear as well. I'm at my max for now, but down the road I'd love another Yorkie or two after some of my older dogs cross the bridge - but hopefully that won't happen for a long time yet! |
I would have 2 like I have. I have 5 cats too and a aquatic turtle and koi and thats enough mouths to feed and take care of |

I think 2 is my limit. I like to be able to spoil and provide and care for them easily!!! |

I'm perfect with three, but ask me this again in May after Lori's fur baby, Friday, has her litter. Who could possibly resist those cute little fuzzy faces? |
I have 2 now and that's is what I am comfortable with financially. If money was no object I would have 4:) Of course they would have a room or 2 for all their clothes and things and a Yorkie Nanny:D |
I have had as many as 5 at one time. I only the 2 now. My heart is still broken from loosing my 3 oldest ones in 13 month time period. I do know I want another. I know I will adopt again when the time is right and I see her. |
If money wasn't an issue......I'd have 6 :) Yup, a 6 pack of yorkies sounds perfect to me! |
If I won the lotto, I would want to rescue a dozen or more then move out to the country and have a yt ranch (copious amounts of helpers would need to be hired), in the real world, I may keep my eyes open for another male this fall, bringing the total up to two yt, and one elderly spitz mix. |
Well I now have 6, I origianlly only wanted one, so how did this happen you ask? Well we all know about Sadie's puppies and how I had homes for all of them until two of them went to their new homes and DH threw a fit and said the other two ( Thor and Little Bit ) could not leave because it broke his heart to lose Bear and Princess so that made four. Then I decided I wanted to foster so along came Molly and no one wants a blind Yorkie so I guess she is here to stay which is fine by me, I love her. Then a lady called me and asked me if I could take Gizmo (Little Dude ) so that makes 6. I think DH would let me have as many as I wanted but I am maxed out now. |

I absolutely LOVE having two. Three is just too much for me. Fostering a third is fine, but I know I would not be happy with three permanently. We travel do much, and I don't leave them behind... So two is great. They ride together in their KB and car seat so it's easy to just get up and go. If I had a more sedentary lifestyle... I could handle more :) |
To be honest, I am not sure if I want any more Yorkies. There are so many other breeds I'd love to try out. Although I am certain I WILL have a Silky Terrier in the near-ish future. I could see myself with 2 terriers and one big dog. But I don't think I'd ever want more than 3 dogs total, but 2 being ideal. Actually I am kind of in my "I love having one" phase too right now. It's just so easy and I love being able to give all my time and attention to him, and bring him anywhere. |
We have two Yorkies, one Walker (Beagle), and one Great Pyrenees mix. The Walker was rescued by DH. Yes DH!!! This is the least amount of dogs for us. We used to have three Beagles but they are all gone now. :(:( I really wouldn\'t mind having a few more Beagles in the future. They are really great dogs. |
Two. Giorgio needs someone play with. |
