Yep,traveling in the trailer is so much easier. Mina's carseat goes in the backseat of the truck. In the trailer she has a drawer in the bathroom for her brush, comb, shampoo and such. She gets the bunkbeds (top for her crate if we arent there and bottom to just hang out on) and she has her own closet in the back next to the bunks, where each of her outfits has a matching bow pinned to it. | |

| ![]() My Jilly loved to look outside. The front of the house has floor length windows but in the back, the large den window was a long, rather high window and not floor length. Jilly would stand as near the window as possible and stand up on her hind feet, trying her best to somehow see out! She would get so frustrated that she could not see out into the back and dogs across the alley and all the goings on in the back. I felt so sorry for her. She was super tiny - only 3 lbs. grown and had had many medical problems due to being born a very small runt. I would do almost anything to please her and make her life a bit easier. I actually did not want a floor length window or anything like that in the back of the house but I did have the den window enlarged and lowered about a foot or so and double windows put in by a subcontractor - for Jilly. Then I moved the den couch so that the back edged up against the window at just window-sill level so that whenever she wanted, I could open one or both of the windows and Jilly could lie there on her little round pillow and watch out the window all day long, taking in all of the sights, sounds and scents. She used a stack of pillows on the end of the couch to jump to the window sill. She was so thrilled with the window I named it "Jilly's Window" and the whole family always refer to that window as "Jilly's Window" to this day, even though she's been gone 8 years now. Tibbe very much enjoys the use of "Jilly's Window" now himself.

I saw someone who had a b-day party and it was AMAZING! Totally outlandish! I might copy some of the ideas for Max's first though!

| ![]() To me it's not about the bling in pampering, it's the everyday general 'pampering'. It's about only buying bottled water because I don't trust the tap water some places, or want my dog drinking from a puddle when we go out<--been mocked for that by friends. It's about spending 3 minutes on my cup o'noodle & 30 minutes on the dog's food. Not going to the ER for myself toughing it out because I didn't have insurance-waiting from Friday night until Monday morning to go to the Dr...in agony the entire time...yet the first sign of something wrong we're calling our vet to get outta bed at 3 a.m. and paying out the nose if our vet wasn't the one on call that night. Buying 3x the amount of WEN because it works better for the dogs than anything else-I will never shampoo my dog's again. I'm almost ashamed to admit this because it's just awful to say but here goes full honesty (the Alaskan Dude inspired me): Allowing my skin kids to eat Happy Meals (not proud of it at all) and freaking out when Elvis got a "chicken nugget", I was saying "he can't eat that it's junk!"

| ![]() Spoiling the dog... Well...I have made Copper lots of harness vests. We just returned from Tahoe...very cold.. We walked him with his own personal fleece harness vest (John Deere print) every time we went outside. We scraped the snow away so he could do his business on the dirt. He doesn't like to walk on the snow. Then, as if I didn't bring enough sweaters and t-shirts for him...I went to Ross. I bought soft newborn onsies...the cute ones of course. I didn't have a sewing machine up there, but cut off the long sleeve to short sleeves and hemmed them. I also cut off the snap part and hand hemmed the tummy part shorter and the back part longer. It looks sooo cute on him. It is soft grey and white stripes with Mommy's Big Guy printed on the back. I wrapped his crate with a blanket and put it on a chair right up to the bed. I could see him in his cozy bed inside where I slept. (The floor was too cold.) When he got cold, I let him sleep with me under the covers. We always stop at McDonalds at least once on our trips to Tahoe. Copper gets most of a hamburger patty for lunch. My hubby says...he is the luckiest dog in the world. Could be.
